There were many actresses who would have performed well in that role like deepti naval, supriya, ratna pathak or neena gupta. And it's not that tapsee bhumi bring great commercial value atleast some other good actresses would have atleast done justice to it and got critical acclaim.

Anybody can play any role but they should do justice to it bas acting ke naam pe aukaat ke bahar experiment kyun karna? If she had performed well the same critics would have praised her. She should stick to pink type roles only.

THIS!!...I don't get it that why were these 2 cast anyways...there are older actors like Tabu who are more commercially viable than these two.....I would have understood if the producers thought of casting Deepika or Priyanka....commercial viability toh hai na...but Taapsee and Bhumi have none..especially Bhumi..🤔
