Part 3 - Deceit
As soon as her lips found his, Rishabh stiffened in her hold as if he had been stoned by a medusa. It took Rishabh good 3 seconds to realize that the sloppy movement of lips against his was indeed Prerna kissing him.
Flustered and almost out of breath, Prerna had barely pulled her lips from his when Rishabhās hands found the small of her back as he drove her into the wall behind and plastering her body against his, took her lips in a searing kiss.
Prernaās eyes widened as she felt the length of his body pressed against her and an ache dawned in her nether regions. This is insane.
But there was no stopping Rishabh, he only deepened the kiss by adjusting her face and when Prerna gasped for breath, his tongue found its chance and invaded her mouth. The burn only got worse as Prerna let her fingers thread in his locks and molding herself against his frame, closed her eyes to let the pleasure rock her system.
Never had Anurag kissed her with such intensity. Her entire body was on fire. She was near breathless now and the only air she wanted to survive on, was the one he was exhaling. She had never felt such an overpowering desire in her life. Even with Anurā
Her eyes flew open aghast as the fingers that had Rishabhās collar bunched up in their claws now pushed against his shoulder bone in an effort to tear his body away from hers. And within the next second or so, Prerna managed to push away Rishabh who almost let out a guttural growl as he balanced himself.
Supporting her throbbing self against the wall, Prerna looked at Rishabh whose chest was heaving almost wildly as he glared at her with an animalistic fury. That fury only highlighted his charm as he tried to comb back his hairs that had come undone owing to Prernaās ministrations and were now disturbing his sight. He looked ravishing. That was all Prerna could think of as he glared at her offended and then bit down on his lips to control his temper.
So deeply engrossed she had been in admiring him, that she had allowed the very reason of pushing him away take the back seat. It was only when her gaze drifted over his shoulders, did she see the brunette staring at her with mouth wide agape. And the full force of what had transpired a minute ago rammed into her like a monster truck.
She had just kissed Rishabh in her full senses. Yes.Her brain totally hadnāt been bamboozled when she had literally taken Rishabh by surprise. She had been desperate. True. But she had been well aware of the step she was going to take and what consequences it was going to pose.Nonetheless, she had done it simply because she was more than willing to regret her actions rather than cribbing over the steps not taken. She didnāt regret the kiss one bit. Rather she was regretting pushing him away. If only her brain had mustered up Anuragās name a few seconds later so that she wouldāve gotten her fill. But that goddamned guilt was always on her tail!
Ah! She had gone mad. Anurag was lying back in their room unconscious and here she was mulling over the taste that she hadnāt been able to grasp completely. Rishabhās taste. Wild, dark, musky and chocolaty.
She let her eyes meet Rishabhās whose eyes had changed back to their calm counterparts and were scrutinizing her.
āCan we talk now?āShe asked raising her brow as if just a second ago they hadnāt been going at each other like some animals in heat. Being a Bajaj had its perks. Control and all!
Rishabhās eyes twinkled as he bit on his knuckles to contain his amusement in check. No wonder, she had been a Bajaj. She had the spunk. He nodded as he directed for her to step out of the room but Prerna only straightened up her spine and narrowed her eyes at him.
āWhat?ā He asked confused as she folded her arms below her breasts and gave a look in the brunetteās direction.
āSend her outāShe replied, more like ordered as he turned around to see Sam gaping at him like he was some extinct animal.
āBut-
āI gave it to youā,Prerna cut him off, her eyes dead set with mirthlessness.
āWhat?!ā Rishabh enquired puzzled.
āThe offerā
Heat rushed up into his body as she uttered the words and he found his unwilling eyes glued to her vicious lips. That smudged lipstick was a proof that he had been there. Screwed big time. And absolutely loving it.
āAnd so we will talkā, Rishabh nodded.
āOnly after she leavesā, Prerna took a step forward.
āItās late, Prernaā
āSoāPrernaās brows quirked up in bewilderment.
āWhere will she go?ā
āAnd why should I care?ā And with that she sidestepped Rishabh to pick a robe off the nail and threw it on the brunetteās face.
āGet the hell out ofhereā
With that said Prerna turned around to find Rishabh smiling unceremoniously.
āWhat?ā She barked, āIs she leaving or what?ā
āOfcourseā,Rishabh shook his head as he turned to Sam, āYou will find Michael in the lobby. He will get you a room for the nightā.
Nodding, Sam fastened the robe around her body and slipped her feet into her heels. āIt wonāt be asking too much for you to show me the door?ā She asked Rishabh.
āAs far as I can see,you have eyes too. Use themā. Prerna butted in between as sam chuckled and got up to leave.
āYou are quite the handful. You two suit each other well. And since you wonāt let me be alone with Rishi, I will give it to youā
Picking up something from under the bed, she opened Prernaās fist and placed the packet in her hands, āDonāt forget to use itā.
As Sam walked out of the room, Prerna opened her fist only for her entire strong faƧade to turn red in embarrassment. Leaning over her,Rishabh bit back a smile as he saw Prerna fumbling with the packet.
He just loves chocolate.
āShall we?ā He whispered against her ear as Prerna almost jumped up scared before throwing the packet across the room.
āW-What?ā She stammered, the image on the packet clearly flashing in front of her eyes.
Rishabh smirked, āTalkā.
~*~*~*~
āAre we going to discuss my schedule now?ā He asked lighting up his cigar.
āNoā, Prerna said as she pulled the cigar away and crushed it under her heels, āSmoking kills. More so the people who are in vicinityā
āSo- Rishabh shrugged.
Prerna was troubled. She had kissed Rishabh, didnāt regret it, totally enjoyed it and absolutely wanted to continue it. That was clearly not possible for he was no more her husband and she by all means was Anuragās wife now. She had cheated Anurag, had hurted him already enough in the past and didnāt want to give him another heartache to nurse. Especially when all the things she could be feeling are but some silly feelings of lust and infatuation towards a man who is now in a forbidden territory. Maybe she would have reacted to him in the same way had she not knocked him out in her anxiety.
She looked at Rishabh who was waiting patiently. They had spent months together. He was a very respecting man. Attraction was natural. But was it more? Would she have walked out without a query if she had cherished him?
Thatās because you love to participate in pity parties! She cringed internally at the remark.
She had no answers to the questions his existence posed in her life. But right now, she was with Anurag and needed to try her best to be with him.And hope that their lost love or whatever it is will get rekindled with time. Because it will totally stink if she would crave Rishabh while being with Anurag, who apparently she had craved a little too badly during her initial months with Rishabh.
Initial months! And after that? That craving and need and love had simmered down as unadulterated happiness had invaded her life as Rishabhās mistress. But he had to go and serve her the divorce papers! Jerk! Why should she overthink her feelings when he is just too busy making out with a random woman every day!
Thatās right. Maybe this phase of Bajaj craving will too pass and undiluted happiness will knock again. And there will be no confusing separation to deal with.
āMrs Bas-
āWhatever happened between us today-
ā will stay between usā Rishabh completed. āConsider it forgotten! I can understand you were desperate and things happened. Itās fine.ā
Prerna gritted her teeth at his nonchalance and chose to ignore him, āwas but an accident. I will be going back to Anurag, hoping that our paths will never cross!ā
āDealā, Rishabh agreed, āBut Iād like to ask one thing, why is it so quiet? Where is Mr.Basu?! He shouldāve been here threatening me with police or something on charges of kidnapping you or whateverā¦ā
āThatāPrerna trailed as she let out a sigh, āThose sleeping meds hadnāt expired right?ā
āWhaā
It took Rishabh a second to notice the ring Prernaās eyes were focused on.
āYou canāt be serious, Prerna. You reallyā
Rishabh looked at Prerna with incredulous eyes as she looked away incredibly embarrassed.
āI. canāt. believe .it!āRishabh gasped astonished.
āI-I donāt know why..but I justā¦ā Prerna fumbled for words as Rishabhās face split into a smile and before Prerna realized, he had taken her into his arms.
āThanks, Prerna!ā He smiled while she melted in his embrace, his happiness infecting her too.
Pulling away, he looked at her with a smile so adorable that Prerna couldnāt tear her eyes away from his happy visage. Whatever it was about going back to Anurag and forgetting Rishabh! Easier said than done. Hah!
āYou know you donāt have to worry about Mr. Basu. He wonāt know a thing. But maybe you should change into something comfortable. This dress is way too heavy for your tasteā,And he strode towards his wardrobe.
āI will change back in the suiteā, Prerna replied, puzzled by his behavior.Who was she kidding? He was an eternal enigma!
āYou sure thatās a good idea. Iām just saying that Anurag wonāt be waking anytime soon and rather than wallowing in guilt of deed thatās done and dusted, why donāt we play a game of chess or go or something. Iām not really tired and youāve already ousted Sam soā
āAnd what do you mean by that?ā Prerna flipped, leaving her seat.
Rishabh chuckled. Her jealousy was so obvious.
āAre you staying?ā He replied with a question of his choosing, his neck craned towards her.
āYesā, she scoffed and had almost plopped on her seat when she shot up as if nails had pricked her butt.
āBut aapke pass ladkiyon ke kapdeā
Her words were muffled by the track suit thrown on her face.
ā--nhi hai. I donāt cross dress. But you can. Fashionās rather fluid for women. For men too, if their tastes are inclined that is!ā He shrugged as Prerna rolled her eyes at his smart reply and went into the washroom.
While Rishabh just let his frame fall freely on the bed with his eyes closed.
Jo aapka hai usse aapse koi cheen nhi sakta
Maybe, Prerna is actually his to be! He smiled. Maybe, love will give him another shot.
