I truly don't want a Mini and Mickey track as she way to young and also needs to study and make something of her life instead if going down the same route as her Mother in early Marriage with no education to boot. Hence no lessons will have been learned at all and will start another circle of suppressed women.

Hope that there is another lead when the time is right.

As this Mini and Mickey does not look right as its cheating end off.

Just cuz Imarti called her father that, so HS also needs to be called that by his daughter? Dunno, but it's not jiving for me.

I feel Mini using the name Babes for Babita reflects that she shares a bond beyond mother-daughter with her.....and if she can do something similar for HS....it would give their bond that special place alongside the Mini-Babita bond.

But chalo agar yeh nahin bhi ho, even some other word for father would work....maybe Dad, Daddyji or something.

If anyone should be calling anyone Bapu right now, Babita can call Imarti's dad that😛

I have been dreaming of her calling him bapu way before Imarti came into the picture.

I know it doesn't sound modern but there are a few reasons for it. First of all, because I have always wanted her to take on some of his Haryanvi heritage, which she subconsciously seems to be doing more and more of. He has this rustic quality, which she is slowly adopting in bits and pieces, so bapu would fit right in. Secondly, because HS used to call his father that but he never seems to speak fondly of him, perhaps because they didn't have a good relationship. Minnie calling him that would give that word a different meaning, so that he can experience what he would have wanted to with his father. He made a promise not to be her sharaabi bapu. Know what I mean?

Thirdly, maybe she can call him Hanuman Uncle for the rest of her life, and there would be nothing wrong with it. However, the whole blood tie and the fact that he isn't her biological father is still simmering under the surface. He is still insecure about her and she still hasn't accepted him 100% as her father. She does call herself his daughter to his face but there is still something holding her back on some deep psychological level. It will take time and when that happens I can imagine that calling him bapu will signal the closing of that gap to both of them, the weight of this word making it immutable.

Fourthly, I don't want her to call him Papa or Papa ji because it resembles what she calls Ashok. HS deserves to be called something different.

Last, but not the least, people in the forum know about this wish of mine. What started off as a running joke has become more serious since HS claimed to be her father, and even if a lot of members here don't want her to call him bapu or don't care either way, some are just indulging me and cheering me on. smiley36

Teachers and principles get called Kadak😆

I was wondering because it was mentioned it in the same discussion on beauty.

If it comes to being kadak then both HS and Babita are, in their own ways.

Prologue indeed. Well said!

But I agree with HS getting a unique name. I would like that a lot too. 😳

Lol, yes! You know all about this fascination of mine!

Unique name would be cool too, as long as it's not Han Solo or something. Unless she really really wants to call him that!

Come to think of it, he really does remind me of a young Han Solo, his brutish ways, etc. The initials are the same too.

No, she doesn't have to, but I just wrote in another post why I am so fond of this idea. 😆

I like your idea about Hanuman ASKING for this....asking that she call him her father by whatever name she decides....but kuch apna sa.....that would be a nice touch.

Yes, for once I want him to express his wish for something that would make him happy, because he always puts others first.

Ashok doesn't need to come back to the show as a trigger.....woh toh Mini can be triggered by anything around her....seeing other kids with their father or something.

Now that would be interesting, or it could be when some legal formality comes up, like at the hospital, when he cannot sign or do something in the capacity of her father.

Wordsmiley32....I'm so so SO glad we have a show exploring relationships like this....and dekho, when you explore life like this, there is SO much story to tell...dekhte dekhte 200 epis ho gaye without any gimmicks....cuz life itself is such a rich story, if you actually tell it with thoroughness, you can tell a nice long one.

Human beings and their emotions are so complex that they have continued to intrigue us over the millennia. There's so much to explore within ourselves that the source material is rich enough. I wish EK and other PHs who have the money and the clout would encourage such writers so that there can be an actual shift in the industry.

LOL thank you for the detailed explanation.

I get a sense of quite a lot of undercurrents in the forum dynamics here like I'm navigating minefields sometimes😆

I don't want her to call him Papaji either....that much we can agree on. Even Hanuman Uncle can continue on if that works....but I feel it will become a flashpoint at some point where she will be asked why she calls her father "Uncle"....and they will cross into another threshold from there. Which is why I suggested the options of Daddyji or Dad.

The rest, time will tell where the writers take it.

I'm pretty sure it was both. It was during the scene when he was imagining Babes as a police officer.

Erm... not sure he would have meant it as hot but more as impressive. Minnie was there!

I agree .. Papaji was symbolic for Ashok .. but Hanuman Uncle will not be closing that gap either .. as you said, daddyji/daddy would be better suited ..
