Tara was better

So I was watching SOTY2 on Amazon prime. I was actually looking forward to Ananya's acting after reading so many good things in almost all the reviews. Also, I did not have much expectation from Tara's performance(thanks to the reviews!)

But don't know why I liked Tara's performance much better than that of Ananya's...maybe because of low expectations.

Tara's acting was more natural , she looked more beautiful hands down!She was more graceful and also a better dancer!Given that this was her first movie..she was good.

Ananya on the other hand seemed really over the top to me.Her energy seemed unbearable at places.

But of course, Ananaya had a way better character sketch as compared to Tara.

So guys ...do share your views on this...🤗

I liked both the girls performance, its just that Ananyas character was 100 times better and Tara's character was kind of there to make Ananyas character look better.

It's a kjo glam movie, people will prefer the one who was wrapped up with the better wrapping paper.

Tara is in talks with Anurag Kashyap's remake of kill bill i heard, if that happens she would prove everyone wrong and show that she is actually better than nepotism ki rajkumari pandey

Well personally I liked ananya better she wasn't like amazing or anything but she was ok as an actor. With tara I felt she had same expression throughout the movie.

Tara was in the movie just to make Ananya look better

And look at how many cut shots they added in every song...u couldn't focus on their dance moves only. Its a sly trick to make both Ananya and Tara look like equally good dancers altho one of them was a trained ballerina

Tara has been performing since she was a child...she was almost Princess Jasmine and a part of Rael Padamsee's theatre version of Grease too...it shows her calibre as an actor...

Agree. Her character was very bland and unlikeable, so she didn't get much of a chance to show range. Ananya's role, where she was constantly saying "idiot, duffer, loser," allowed her to fool the audience, but her acting wasn't anything great. Just her character was a little feisty. Not to mention, Tara is the trained western classical dancer, but Ananya's character was the contemporary dance "expert." If Tara had that gotten to do that dancing, she would've nailed it, whereas Ananya looked like a praying mantis with bent knees and unpointed toes.

Giving my two cents. Tara's character was better if we see it in practical terms. People makes mistake and they ponder upon it and try to correct it. She realized her mistake and corrected it too , but life don't give second chance again and again. Her second chance was lost already. So it's more relatable character. The point where I disliked her character was when she saw those bullies beating the main actor but she left the scene instead of stopping them. It was inhuman.

Tara has a lot of potential, more so than any of the newcomers. Too bad KJo doesn’t seem to like her much. I just hope this Aadar Jain thing doesn’t cause her any set backs.

While I was disappointed with Tara's character, I think she played her part well. When she was required to play a gold digger, she did so, convincingly. One could tell her eyes were set on Manav rather than Rohan. And then I feel came her downfall because they made Mia cry and feel hurt for Rohan when he was getting beaten up and then next moment, she was happily chilling with Manav. I mean there was so much imbalance with Mia's character but Tara still managed to play this horribly written character.

Only the scene where Ananya comes with the bhabhi trophy, needed better acting by Tara, rest was fine.

I personally didn't found anyone stand out nor I found anyone totally crap. I thought acting from.everyone including Tiger was okay, it was the movie as a whole which was crap.

Anyways Tara is a decent, average kind of actress. Not really a very talented if we talk about just child actors, like say Ashaas Channa.
