Your take on Deepika's acting? - Page 2

You know exactly what you are doing when you open a topic like that. People on IF always think the worse of her. In every situation....why are you even asking those questions you already know the answers? I am sick of her being constantly bashed on here by same obsessed people saying same thing over her and over. She is not even active right now. Make topics about someone else please. Maybe make some about people who are not “has been” according to this forum. She is over but there’s more topics on her than the new top actresses. If you want real opinions about her then IF is not your spot. Asked unbiased people outside and you’ll get real answers.

Not only that, CE, Yeh jawani hai deewani and several others, she was very good. After Cocktail, she has not given a single bad performance and though she's not an effortless performer like Vidya, she has been working very hard.

Thoughts/comments?

She's not BAD, but she isn't impressive either :)

I like some of her 'gestures' rather than entire performance, if that makes sense..

She ruined that song with her puke worthy expressions. That nostril flare and bland face ruined the essence of the song.

OT I think she is mediocre who does well under good direction. What they say? Yes, a Director's actor.

Deepika is a director's actor.....SLB brings out the worst in her while the director of Piku brought out her best.....even Shetty brought out her comic side well.....on her own she is average.....but given a brilliant director she can shine.

I like Deepu’s acting when she’s not really acting and I ignore her acting when she acts as if she’s acting and I enjoy her offscreen acting more than onscreen

I only liked 2/3 performances of hers so far.

Her strength r modern roles like piku, Veronica, Naina, Tara.

Sucks big time at historicals.

That said, she's not my fav actingwise.

Yes absolutely dp shouldn't do movie with slb. Very poor. Before that she was better. Only slb's ramleela dp was good. She is way better without slb boring movies. She and srk are best pair for comedy and romance.
