Alia Bhatt lost out on a plump project because of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Inshallah’ with Salman Khan?

Alia Bhatt is grief-struck after her upcoming film Inshallah co-starring with Salman Khan gets shelved.

Not-so-good news for all the Bollywood buffs out there! Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali shelved his most waited film ‘Inshallah’, starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. While our Bhaijaan Salman Khan coped up with the developments keeping an optimistic approach, it is our Highway girl Alia Bhatt pulling the tissues. The actress was looking forward to collaborating with Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film and was struck with disappointment as the film sank even before it began sailing.

The filming of Inshallah was scheduled to begin in September this year after Salman wrapped up work on 'Dabangg 3', but the film got scrapped off. The legendary duo Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali would have got together almost after two decades since their 1999 film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and oh boy! what a mind-blowing collaboration it would have been with the actor-director coming back together and drop-dead-gorgeous Alia Bhatt joining the team.

The Times Of India reveals that Alia was quite elevated to be a part of the film Inshallah and had reportedly given up on several other projects to focus on the Salman Khan starrer. Sources say that Alia also lost out on a project offered with star Aamir Khan as she had her dates reserved for Inshallah.

How is Salman's act any different from what Priyanka Chopra did with Bharat? His fans were attacking her saying she was unprofessional and all that, but what about him?

Interestingly, when Priyanka left the film, her shoes were immediately filled with another actress and the film continued shooting without disruption. But in this case, because of the male lead's unprofessionalism, the whole unit has to suffer.

Just goes to show that actresses are still replaceable/interchangeable but the power button always rests with the male actors who can pull the plug on the project as per their whim.

She lost out on Osho? But Osho was canned by Netflix India because Priyanka is doing her own Ma Anand Sheila biopic so nobody would even see Alia's version. They cant possibly be talking about her playing Jenny in his version of Forrest Gump 😆

Do these Pinkvilla writers even pass 8th grade? The word is plum, not plump.

I wonder what these guys like Salman and Bhansali discuss before they sign the project? Apparently nothing much.

Alia is privileged so she will be okay but if this was a newer or outsider actress, something like this could derail her career. It might mean not having a release for a whole year, not getting paid, and losing something else she could have done.

She should be glad that she got saved from a potential flop movie

Why would they care about that? Projects in HW are stuck in development limbo for years and often end up not happening. What happened to that Priyanka/Madhuri show? What happened to that Cowboy Christ Pratt movie? High chances of the same happening with the Ma Sheila movie.

Even if it ever happened, it doesn't matter. There were multiple documentaries about stupid stuff like the Fyre Festival. Getting it out there first would help if they were actually interested but I think Aamir lost interest. Nobody hears anything about his Mahabharat series anymore either.

Salman didn't walk out of the movie.

Bhansali shelved it because he had his differences with Salman.

Actors also invest in many movies taking risks. If actresses want power, they need to start taking things on their hands and start spending money they made from endorsements. An actress who earns around 5 crore per ad and does around 10 plus ads, can invest in atleast medium budget movie. Bigger the risk, bigger the profit. It's not male actors fault that actresses just want paycheck and invest nothing from their side. And then say male actors r treated better.

Power dynamics will change if they develop guts to use their own money...If they can't they will always be replaceable..
