If the cliffhanger is good but the anticipation is low, then the execution would have really sucked.

Btw is Season 3 confirmed?

It's actually better than S1 IMO..There is an intense parallel between Gaitonde and Sartaj..

I agree!! I love love Sacred Games 2. The first season was too violent & too much sex (and some sexual abuse). Season 1 was more typical gangster stuff. I don’t want to spoil season 2 so won’t say much. One, be careful of cults. Two, a lot of our adult problems stem from our childhood. Gaitonde & Sartaj are same...their outside is different but inside they were both suffering from similar issues including daddy issues.

The ending was a bit let down but I guess they kept it open for season 3.

You know I am all for masala dosa fun style chill pill type films. I love a good comedy and action film with song & dance. But what’s with the mockery of intellect? Why do we mock intelligence or those who question the status quo or making shows that explore deeper human issues? Once a human’s basic needs are met, trust me, it’s a black hole after that. Lol. That’s why the ‘elite’ or ‘rich’ start to philosophize.

It’s pretty awesome to see Kashyap and co making shows that BW cannot afford to make. Netflix is a boon for actors & makers who cannot fit in BW & still have a livelihood!

Exactly ...Same, I found S1 too high on profanity and nudity..But the reason it got so popular was because of totality fresh and breakout character of Kukoo..Frankly I was quite bored of S1 ..Until episode 5 happened.

However I found S2 so much deeper..Even Gaitonde and Gurujee had parallels..With their God complexes...

And Kalki was simply outstanding as Batya..Even KD Yadav and Jojo.

Also it is reflective of socio political scenario..I found Leila annoyingly biased and Hindu hating..But SG2 has a more balanced approach..There are good and bad men in every religion and sometimes it's indistinguishable when good turns over to bad..I could talk for hours about complexities with Sartaj's character. I loved the question - is this world worth saving? It even resonates with why Thanos had so many fans ...

Totally agree. I did like S1, too. But S2 goes into more complex questions. One reason, just one reason, why the world should escape destruction.
