But seriously, the movie was one decade behind. Could've worked in 90s. And also it was hrithik's flop phase between knph and kmg.

Okay. I know the crocodile scene is ridiculous, some of the actors overact in it, there are overdramatic scenes and some even don't like the climax but I actually like the film as a whole 1😒😆 it was a special part of my childhood. I find Jackie Shroff very endearing and the father-daughter bonds sweet. I like Hrithik a lot even in Yaadein plus he looks very hot in it ☺️😆

Subhash Ghai is an overrated out-dated director. He tried to use winning elements from Pardes and Taal. In comparison, the music in Yaadein was very weak although I love me some Eli Re Eli. The film was an absolute mess. Apparently the producers cornered him to incorporate more of Hrithik since he became a superstar overnight during the shooting of the film. The story was meant to focus on the father-daughters relationship, so it became even more convoluted. Not to mention the awful acting of Hrithik Roshan. The 1-dimensional side characters were the icing on the cake.

cuz old-school bollywood.. no proper script etc and the moment HR became too big, suddenly Ghai thought he'd earn more if he just increased HR's role. I am so glad those days are over. So many of his films suffered because of such lousy filmmaking processes.
