Based on the reviews, it seems like Kangana is playing herself in the movie! So wonder she aced it! She’s done so many of these psycho/neurotic roles in the past so to me there’s nothing new to it.

Also can we stop with this sympathy game for Kangana.

What she does, she does in pura Haus aur Hawas. She knows what to do, how to do and when to do. She knows online warriors logo ko nepotism se problem, she thrusts it, she knows most of twitter army ko pseudo liberals se problem hai, she thrusts this, she knows that fans of every new actress hates Alia, she thrusts it, she knows everything.

She knows everything she does, bekaar Mai mental patients ki bezatti mat karo.

She does not need therapy. She needs a Jail term. Her behavior cannot be excused with some mental illness. Bcoz no mentally ill person is as Evil as her. Her behavior is a result of lack of accountability for her crimes and offences.

And OT: I dont even think she is a "great" actress. She is just a one trick pony who got 2 fluke hits and used her Sugar daddy Prasoon Joshi to buy herself 2 NAs. If she got NA for those Non-National award worthy performances, then Rani, Kajol, Kareena, Alia, Vidya, Tabu, PC, Kalki, Konkana Sen shud hv bagged a National award for every single performance of theirs as they have far better acting, screen presence, dialogue delivery and versatility. She is highly overrated

I think her off screen personality sucks. It's not just about HR controversy but her overall personality. The kind of language she uses, it's just repulsive. I haven't watched many movies of hers, just Gangster and Queen and she was brilliant in the later. There is no problem in standing up for the things you believe in but there is always a better way to put your thoughts into words which she definitely lacks. Plus I also believe her sister is also adding a lot to her notorious personality. I personally feel Rangoli is pulling such negative PR for her sister.

I am not going to appreciate her because of her national awards. We are aware of some worthless performances which got award and many excellent performances which have not been awarded.

Also, I have a problem with her accent, which makes me feel she is not a complete actress.

Still she is one of the good actresses and one of few actresses who can draw audience (may be in limited capacity, but none the less can carry a low budget film on her own shoulder like Vidya Balan could do in her prime).

But main issue. She gives too much importance for herself in the movie, not the story. Result? People appreciate her in the movie, but not the movie. A successful movie will have story at the centre stage, not one of the characters.

It is a tough call for actors to limit themselves. We have seen some director actors, who knew how to curtail themselves as actors while directing (Gurudutt in Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulaam). We have also seen some movies where the stars failed to do so and their movie became unbearable (Dev Anand’s later movies).

May be, if she directs a couple of movies without starring in it, she might learn to value the story. She might appreciate the point of view of director then.
