Yes He tried to force himself on .... his act had a solid back story rooted with insecurities and hence his act though uncomfortable but was not shocking .3rd wheel came in and hence insecurities of his ex wife leaving him came to forefront.

Just like how we had Anurag trying to mark his territory on Pre during Vikku Track .

Anu s thoughts are clouded right now . He lost his love .. feeling of betrayal... humiliated... he must be thinking was his mom saying was correct ? That Pre is not a right girl for him ... He went against all his mom sometimes Nivi ... for Pre .... n he wants to find out why Pre did what she did to him . Even if he knows Pre loves him right now he can't think straight.... so in frustration he must have slapped her .

Even if this is not what Anurag is situations in life changes you ...that doesn't mean he is butchered. And according to me this is a private moment between the lovers ... let them fight n sort it out ...this happens in real life too...
