LMAO! No wonder they have so much disdain for Lyra Belacqua. A liar, a thief, a cheat who had no respect.
I think Harry Potter is a very realistic hero in so many ways. Beneath the hero is an ordinary boy. He goes to school, studies, makes friends and tries to fit in like everybody. There are poor choices and some good choices. Overall he stands for the greater good. Similarly James to was not the best of people, his treatment of Severus was mean. But in the end he was a guy with a good heart who did the right things.
People should stop expecting perfect heroes. Nobody can be perfect. Heroes who make mistakes, have flaws, but still redeem themselves are heroes people can relate too. They give encouragement that we to can accomplish things despite our shortcomings.
lol...u r correct....harrys so calld hero but not a model heroOriginally posted by: lucky_lakshmi
Exactly...which is why I have always nurtured a special love for Byronical Characters. Harry Potter itself presents sume Byronical Characters..Sirius Black, Sevrus Snape for Instance are Byronical heroes....
and Harry is all normal as any of us, he is no "Model" hero. He is one like every one of us (which is why such a large number of ppl round the world can relate so much to Harry). He isnt a "hero material"
..if so we all are Heroes!😃 Bloody Brilliant!😉

Completely agree with u....characters in HP are very much shaded (except for DD and Voldy...)....which is why they r so realistic....😳
harry potter is fiction... FICTION!! i mean criously for godsake!!
i think kids can differ real frm fiction... its those old minded dim witted pple who cant...
as far as my knowledge goes... thr have been many articles coming p in the past n now also regarding harry potter books being not good for kids...
but does even one article... even one single scrawny article name a kid who went evil after reading the series?????
OMG u r a genius👏👏 I loved, loved, loved LOVED the red-coloured-line....its sooooooo true...👏👏 People only see that HP is about magic....but they dont see that children have enough sense to understand whats true and whats not....they dont see how many good things children learned from it....
