Dhoni should retire , I agree with that but what he did today cannot be criticized coz the situation demanded that. He should have come after karthik's wicket went down. He would have guided Pant and Pandya and held one side up.

He was right in going for the 2nd run, we needed 25 from 10, the more he got strike, the better chance of a boundary. Its time and time proven that he does it well.

People who are blaming him should be the one to question top 6 on why they failed instead blaming him for the loss is unfair.

As for the argument that rohit, KL and Virat batted to bring us into the semis, no one debates that, but the fact is they failed today and that played a role in the loss. Had it not been for Dhoni and Jadeja, we would have been 100 all out. They fought hard and the better team won. We also bowled 12 wides and we were outdone in the fielding department as well.

But why did we need 25 for 10? If he had taken some calculated risks we wouldn’t be in that position. Last over baaki hain aur ab yaad aaraha hain ke runs bhi banane hain.

And make 2 runs when you’re sure you can. You know if you’re out there’s no one else. It made more sense to take risks early then at that time.

The other dude would have taken a single and given his precious strike back to him.

As commentators said he could have asked to be sent at 4 but he didn’t. he should have taken charge today as an experienced player after seeing 3 wickets fall.

Yes they failed and because they failed they lost so if they’ve a bad day then it’s certain they’ll lose, that’s the point I was trying to make. And that shouldn’t be the case others should also know how to take team to victory.

It’s not just dhoni but others too but they’re supposed to be nallas infront of dhoni so that’s why I’m questioning him. A lot of them wasted a lot of balls even if they took singles it would have worked. They were making 2-3 runs per over
