Sending social message won't make a drunk hero an ok thing....I mean u know what the stereotype is...he can be jerk, can be stupid, can be an absolute angel, can be anything...but he has to be what the word "hero" means to us....he will always be lead male no matter what and they make him do will ever sideline him or spoil his hero of story image....and the moment that happens we have seen shows where new character entered and became lead and previous lead became side...or died....so keeping RM drunk is NOT an option...
And I m not actually disagreeing with u here...yes just thriller don't work here and family dramas do....but a Romantic thriller is a romance too and would work very well if executed properly....I mean what exactly is happening in BP that doesn't in any family drama? families do conspire, they kill, heroes do loose wives sometimes and marry second time, heroine always solves everything alone... it's all there...they just need to put more effort and execute this properly.... handle RM properly to be specific and we can be good...this has great material.... their are hit old movies in Bollywood with materials like this....they just need to present things better....
I am not saying it is OK; I am saying use it to be woke; or at least pretend that you are woke. I mean the moment TV gets called the poor cousin of Indian cinema, there are tv actors and tv creatives ready to write open letters and talk about how they have wide spread reach. So use that reach. Please, i do not want my hero being a jerk. We established that. We do not want ASR or SSO; they are not on TV anymore; they are gone. Their fans can keep them in their hearts. We do not care. All I am saying is use your storyline to create awareness if you want to keep your hero drunk. That is all. Awareness might make people talk about the show and might make more people watch it. It will get more eyeballs. or else people will go singing along to "main toh tera deewana hoon; saare jahaan se begaana hoon " with cutesy smiles on their faces. The person singing this song is not a jerk at all. He is pretty aware and quite with it so no wonder that people are being pulled towards him.
A few posts ago, I used examples of plots like Chandni or Bol Radha Bol or Deewana where the hero is killed or there is conspiracy. Use those storylines. However, maybe they think that is 90s cinema and we are in 2019. People might not want to watch that. Then again Deewana is a classic. So yes, BT need to up their game or else they will have no one to blame but themselves. I mean look at me, PVP is BAE and yet here i am singing saathiya mere main toh tera deewana hoon, saare jahaan se begaana hoon...i mean I know all the lyrics to this song; I do not even know all the lyrics to kya hua tera vaada; OMG wait do i even know the lyrics to Peerh meri? *hangs head in shame* #horriblefangirl.
BUT i do love the wink and the smile..I promise...that wink and THAT smile have a separate fanbase. #PVPsooooooocute❤️
