Abhimaan for me, especially because of the flawless acting by Jaya B and Big B.
Abhimaan
its touching, emotional and moving. brilliant acting by JAYA, AB, David and Asrani
but a major breakthrough performance from this film came from BINDU who played a sympathetic character. kudos to hrishikesh mukherjee for giving her such an amazing role. You see the story of the society even after so many years has not changed. The 'third' woman shall always be seen as a devil no matter if she wants the best for the people she loves. She's ready to sacrifice and content with her loneliness. Abhimaan is a must watch. everyone should watch if you'r a lover of great cinema

+1
her performance is so underrated 😒
out of all these films, i simply hate AKELE HUM AKELE TUM considering this was made from mansoor khan who made the landmark JJWS, he got carried away by the success and created this mess..
picture this : Aamir is a struggler and clearly does not have a good income to boast about, yet he manages to woo manisha who thinks she would be content living with him. Her parents reject aamir, who comes to ask for manisha's hand in a weird rainbow shirt 🤣 looking at him, which parents would like to give their daughter's hand...they were rude but they were correct.
aamir convinces manisha to marry him because their ambitions n goals r same they love music and want to reach equal heights together. little did she know he was lying, she gets married but then he reduces her to a mere housewife and even prevents her giving her audio to music directors. clearly aamir was a douchebag...this is the only character i have hated in all his films.
manisha then feels suffocated and without giving a second thought leaves the house. until this point, the film grabs u with the flow..but it starts going haywire when manisha becomes an actress a sensation and comes back to take her baby..
after all the turmoils, there's a happy ending with the family re-union but the biggest problem that remained at the end, aamir does not feel remorseful for even once what he did to manisha instead she keeps apologizing to him..clearly this film sent out the wrong message after women goes back to mean husbands but there's no guarantee that their lives shall move peacefully further.
