This is the thing which people have not been able to comprehend and made it about Ranveer vs Shahid mostly by opportunistic fandom. He is an actor and he did his job. Although, had Ranveer done this movie I would have been utterly disappointed and disgusted for choosing such a in your face misogynistic movie. My problem is the movie itself. And to top it all up I saw comments in various sm platform from girls wishing to have men like Arjun as bfs or found him to be the representation of intese pure love. When we are subtly conditioned in such manner it creates submissiveness in impressionable minds. The abuses and insults are seen as love. Obsession and possessiveness depicted in the movie is utterly disgusting and scary. If movie was just a business then movies with social messages , women and men empowerment, inspiration , history etc wouldn’t have been made. Drama was started as a means to bring social awareness through entertainment.
