At Night

Rakshit heard someone crying in Drishti's room. He opened the door and saw her. She was broken. Her eyes were bloodshot. They were tired. There was the pain in her eyes. He went near her.

He touched her shoulder. "Drishti,what happened? Why are you crying?" He was tensed rather shocked.

She immediately hugged him. He was startled by her sudden action but he hugged her back.

"Yeh sab meri wajah se Hua. It's all my fault. Meri wajah se aaj voh zinda nahi hain. I don't deserve this. Nobody's here for me." She was sobbing.

"Drishti, I'm here with you, for you." His stare was intense.

But she saw the same thing in his eyes which she always sees when she stands infront of the mirror. PAIN.

She came out of the trance and realised what she was doing. She was so close to him that she was feeling his breath. With him everything was different. She was not in control of herself whenever he was around her. They say there is first time for everything. Am I falling for him? She questioned herself. She pulled apart.

"I'm sorry." She apologised.

"It's ok. I understand."

"You do?"She didn't wait for his answer."I'm sleepy. Please leave." She added.

He left.

Next day

Oh God! What have I done! How am I going to face him? Why I cried infront of him? Now he will get another chance to tease me.But wasn't he so caring and understanding? Drishti think rationally!Why universe? Why are you always against me? Its gonna be so awkward I even hugged him. Pagal Drishti!!She was ranting looking up at the ceiling. Drishti stuffed her head in the pillow. But I've to face him. Get up Drishti and be ready. You can do it. She cheered herself.

'Good Morning Dadi and Purab.' She wished them sweetly.

'Good morning Drishti.' Dadi replied.

Rakshit was silent. She snapped before his face. "Kaha kho gaye ho purab? Kis ke khayalo mein?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Huh, kya?" Rakshit came out of his thoughts.

"I said Good Morning." She chose to ignore her last statement.

"Good morning Drishti." He seemed lost.

"Why he is behaving weirdly?" She thought to herself.

It's getting difficult for me to pretend as Purab. I'll admit I hate to lie but know I'm afraid to speak truth. Zindagi ne kaha lake jyada kar diya hain! I don't wanna lose her. I have already lost so much in my life and now...If she comes to know that I'm not real Purab she will throw me out of her house as well as her life. She will hate me forever. Before leaving Delhi, I'll tell her truth and my real identity.

"Drishti beta aao breakfast karo."

"No Dadi,I'm not hungry."

"Thoda toh kha lo beta."

"Dadi don't force her."Rakshit who was silently listening their conversation,finally spoke."Shayad woh dieting pe hongi,vaise bhi dieting ki sakt zaroorat hain use."He smiled smugly.

Drishti frowned."Dadi,I'm starving. Where is my breakfast?"

Dadi smiled.

"Kahi yeh gussa hamari jaan na lele." Rakshit muttered.

"I heard you." Drishti whispered.

"Good for you." A smile made a way on his face.

Drishti glared at him. Steam was fuming out of her ears.If looks could kill he would be dead by now.

"Dadi aap mujhe Delhi nahi ghumayengi?"Rakshit asked to escape from Drishti's death glare.

"Jaroor beta,Drishti ghumayegi tumhe,voh toh yaha ki nas nas se wakif hain. Kyun Drishti?"

"Dadi,I.Will.Not."She declared."Aap Divi se kahiye. I'm busy."

"Nahi beta, voh aaj apne doston ke saath trip pe Jane wali hain." Dadi sighed. " Drishti,please!" Dadi pleaded her with her most sweetest voice.

Drishti rolled her eyes. Her Dadi very well knew to convince others to fulfill her demands. It's like a rattrap. Once you are struck in it,you can't escape. She had tried to escape from her trap in the past but she always failed miserably.

"Fine Dadi! You win,I lose." She finally agreed.

"Thank you,Drishti." Rakshit smiled.

"Pleasure is all mine." She replied with the perfect fake smile.

Present time.

Drishti and Rakshit were lost in each others eyes.

"Rakshit baby,I missed you a lot!" A cranky voice broke their eye lock.

"Lavanya,tum yaha?" Rakshit asked suprisingly.

"Yeah baby,I was missing you so much! And I'm your girlfriend aur ab toh hamari sagai bhi hone wali hain.Now I have a right to meet you at anytime and anywhere."

Saying this she went to hug him but Rakshit stopped her.

"No Lavanya. Let me correct you.First thing first you are not my girlfriend. Haan maanta hoon meri Mom ne tumhe mere liya choose kiya hain par iska matlab yeh nahi hain ki tum jab chahe tab mere office mein aao aur mere employees ko disturb karo." He explained her calmly.

Lavanya started to protest him." Rakshit tum apne employees ke samne meri insult kar the ho." Lavanya was fuming.

"Lavanya agar abhi tum yaha se nahi gayi toh mujhe majburan security ko bulana padega."

Lavanya stomped furiously.

Rakshit looked towards Driahti. She gave him a weak smile and turned on her heels. She, herself was unable to understand why tears were forming in her eyes.'Is it because Rakshit is getting married to another girl? 'No it can't. I don't like him.' She answers herself.

* * *

Drishti was waiting for Romi to pick her up. Suddenly a car came and stopped near her. Rakshit came out of the car. She was surprised would be understatement.

"Come,Miss Sharma,I'll drop you." Rakshit told her politely.

"No,thanks. Mr.Shergill.Mujhe aapke ehsaan li koi zaroorat nahi hain. And by the way my brother will come."

"Come on Ms. Sharma,don't be so stubborn. Its already too late. I'll drop you safely." He paused." Or are you afraid to spent time with me? Because you have fallen for me. Kahin tumhe mujhse pyaar toh nahi ho gaya Drishti Sharma? Isiliye mujhe dekh kar tumhara control kho jata hain, right?" A smirk was forming on his face.

"Agar aap duniya ke last person honge tab bhi mujhe aap se kabhi pyaar nahi hota!Aap mujhe pasand aa hi nahi sakte! Aap mujhe ache nahi lagta hain."

"Main agar duniya ka aakhiri person hoga toh tum kaise hongi? Unless and until we are Soulmates. Like ek jaan do jism?" He said looking straight into her eyes and he chuckled."Ab jaldi aao varna mujhe tumhe uthakar lana padega."

"Aap Aisa nahi kar sakte hain!"

"Hum dono jaante hain ki main Aisa bilkul kar sakte hoon."

Drishti gave in. She quietly came and sat in the car.

"Be comfortable."

Rakshit turned on the radio.

Ye lamha bhi guzar jaayega

Ye dard seene mein hi dab jayega

Ye baatein adhoori reh jaayegi

Tum aur main adhoore reh jayenge

Kaash aisa bhi hota

Tum mere hote

Main tumhara hota

Toh ye gham na hote
