Salman: Even with all the negativity around Race 3, it still worked

Since the beginning of the film industry, not even 100 films may have touched the Rs 100 crore benchmark. Rs 100 crore is still a large number. I keep on saying, I hope ke jitni badi mega flop (aapko meri picture lagti) hai, main dua deta hu ke dusron ki picture utni hi badi hit ho jaaye. Even Race 3, which people say didn’t do that well, did a business of over Rs 170 crore, that’s huge. With all the negativity around it, the film still worked.

Worked in sending people to assylum.

He has a point: it's the fanbase / the masses going to the movies that are making thse movies a success.. even if they aren't good// or are really bad.

What needs to happen is that the masses should NOT go to ANY STAR movie if the movie is bad.

THAT and only THAT will make all of them check first that the script is TOP QUALITY.. that the director has a clear and all-encompassing vision.. that the RIGHT CASTING was done.

Something we've seen with kalank and SOTY2 erecently- public rejected them.. but they stilkl made some money.. The poublic will slowly learn.

Soon, the public won;t care MUCH about whether is this or the other star and ONLY go to a movie they REALLY want to see- because of the star yes... but ALSO becaiuse they hear the subject/script is good and the direction is great.
