Why do South Indian movies have average looking actresses? - Page 3

It’s BW whose current crops of actresses are below average with everyone being skinny as f**k

Samantha, Nayanthara, Sai Pallavi, Tammannah are faaaar better looking than Alia,Vaani..

looks are required when you're not that talented.

I will rather watch Sai Pallavi acting and dancing whole day than any of Deepika, Anushka, Katrina(well I will prefer her sitting with me and also watching Sai), Yami, Kriti, Alia, Shraddha, Ileana and so on.

A good performer at least for the period of movie, makes movie enjoyable, while people may look like million bucks, but if they suck, it will be super meh, example, Aish in most of her movies.

Coz most of them get films coz they can act and not bcoz they are KJo's beta/beti/bhai/behen. (If KJo stops his tamasha, half the nepo toli will be jobless)

Also, I feel South has more content driven and slice of life films. It has its share of OTT focus on glamour but compared to Bollywood, the quality of South films is much better. No wonder so many SI films are remade (AND RUINED) in BW.

Acting wise: Sai Pallavi, Nithya Menen, Manju Warrier, etc are such fab actors.

Btw, off topic: I heard Sai Pallavi has been signed for RRR. Is it true? Ab tera kya hoga Alia. HAHAHA

Yes! The current crop of actors down South do have a lotta star kids. But my dig was more at Jo jo Pa lobbying for Alia even with other directors. Though that is a one off case, no one else does that even in Bollywood.

All said and done, I would still take a Dulquer, Fahadh, and Prithviraj over Btown nepo kids. Look at the fab variety of films these guys are doing.

Not aware of Tamil and Telegu industries. My knowledge of South films is limited to Malayalam.

the starkids in bollywood are mostly so bad except kareena karisma and ranbir kapoor

Tamanna is Sindhi though, there are a lot of Sindhi's in Hyderabad
