Kyu bhai? What is so great about Sridevi OTTness? Her hindi diction was bad. Watched enough of Naagin movies and few anil kapoor movies opposite her to judge her acting. She is overhyped and Madhuri is a much composed and nuanced performer😌

Sure. thumping your body doesnt make you a good actor lol thats all Madhuri did anyways. Thats why she is a failure today, talent sustains.

Thumping her body🙄 well wasn't Sridevi known for her dances as well and even there she was no match for Madhuri. If you ever doubt the gracefullness of Madhuri just watch 'maar dala'. Also I haven't watched Sridevi's work down South to judge that but from whatever I have seen of her in Hindi cinema I found her way over the top. Her voice is screechy and her wide eyed expressions with heavy fake lashes scared me as a kid. Madhuri on the other hand has one of the most beautiful faces of Bollywood.

Sridevi had some great songs but she was known more for her ACTING. That's why as a 50 year old she still DELIVERED with two successful films. Unlike the other one who is still thumping and nothing happening.

Maduri was a good dancer but not the best - Karishma outdid her in DTPH and Ash in Dola Re LOL...Madhuri's lack of talent is more obvious now than it ever was in the past. Her and Ash are kinda the same....they both are fading beauty icons who have nothing else to offer.

That's why people like Sridevi, Tabu etc will have better careers - they are not depending on their looks or thumka's.

No one knows Madhuri in South.

Madhuri was pregnant while shooting for Devdas yet she matched every step of Ash in dola re dola. As I mentioned again watch 'maar dala' to know how elegant and crisp she was in Khatak. Also,regarding her acting, she is one of the most expressive actresses in Bollywood. Sadly she belonged to an era where heroines didn't have much to do in film except dance and look pretty, yet she was always a treat to watch onscreen and was a bigger star than salman,srk and amir back then. She sadly left her career behind to settle down in America even though she could have continued to be a terrific performer. Give her scripts like English vinglish and Mom and those films would do just as well. Her popularity in North is much more than Sridevi's. Also she had a much more likeable personality than Sridevi

This is so true .. Madhuri at her age now , has nothing to offer .. She has been stereotyped & stuck doing those dance numbers which no one is interested to see now ..

And there is no way that Madhuri could do a EV Or Mom. We saw what she did with Kalank which was also supposed to be Sridevi's lol

Madhuri was probably a big part of your childhood so I know the nostaglia is hard to let go of. But I was Aishwarya fan and I just recently accepted that she sucks. Its hard but doable.

Well then I agree to respectfully disagree.I am not some die hard Madhuri fan🙂.Honestly I don't find much difference in both Madhuri and Sridevi as they both were known as bubbly expressive dancing queens. Both belonged to an era where Bollywood was all about 'angry young man' kind of heros and both are regarded as true female superstars of Indian cinema. What I don't understand is why Sridevi is hyped so much. Was she good? Yes but both of there work profiles are nothing when compared to actresses nowdays. Today likes of kangu, Vidya,aloo, deepu, priyanka etc have had chance to do much better scripts and more complex characters than both of them so by that logic Sri and Mads aren't that great they are made out to be. I thought the question was about the star power because in terms of acting both of them would have been outperformed by many other actresses. Aise toh I think Urmila is a better actress than sridevi and can speak her dialogues clearly.

EV and Mom both were good scripts and nicely performed by Sri but they weren't some groundbreaking movies and neither was the character so difficult to play. Madhuri could have easily done them, so could have many other lesser known actresses.
