Sridevi or Madhuri? Who is India's Most famous actresses of All time?

Omg a non commercial film starring a 54 yo Sridevi is expected to cross $15 million at the China Box office. Could madhuri or any other actresses break this record?

Mom has crossed the $12 million business of war epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and is likely to beat the $14 million earnings of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha in china.

Now remembered as lead actor Sridevi’s last release before her untimely demise, one that also won her the National Award for best actor, Mom had made Rs. 31.27 crore upon its release in India in 2017.

Something about Sridevi that makes her so endearing.

Thats why even her in 50's she managed to register with audiences with heart felt performances like Mom and English Vinglish! She really set the bar high but at the same time she was in touch with reality. She know she wasnt 24 anymore and selected age appropriate roles like EV and Mom. I will never forget that feeling I had in the theater when I saw that scene from Mom where Devki enters the hospital room and bursts into tears seeing her daughter on the hospital bed. That scene gave me goosebumps and I can never forget the level of acting she showed in just that one scene. For me that was the greatest scene on celluloid....it was so heartfelt and real that I almost felt like I was there. That scene resonated with me. I cant believe my Sridevi is gone, its been over a year and I am still not over it. I miss her terribly.

I dont have anything against Madhuri, but she isnt the greatest actor and it shows. Thats why she hasnt been successful after her prime. Shes not known for her acting. Shes more of a beauty/dance icon.

Madhuri was the better actor and better looker compared to Sridevi. I never found Sridevi endearing in her movies for me she always looked like a vamp(she would have made a cool disney Villain).Sridevi is overhyped and her hindi diction in movies was annoying (I know it is not her mother tongue but she was working in Hindi movies). No offense to Sridevi fans, I was just giving my opinion.

Also Chinese audience doesn't give rat's ass about our superstars, for them content is the king. If Madhuri starred in Mom it would have done similar business. The kind of craze Maduri had in 90's is incomparable to most of her contemporaries.

She was the top paid in both Tamil & Telugu between 1979 to 1983( till her bolly debut)

Pan India - Sridevi, unquestionably - given her illustrious acclaimed work across languages.

How I wish she were alive to see this movie succeed in China! 😭

More famous was Madhuri acc to me inspite of being limited to only hindi cinema.Better actor is debatable.

In terms popularity and acting talent , Sridevi is far ahead of Madhuri .. Though , Madhuri is also among the top Indian actresses of all time ..
