Average response to Tiger Shroff’s SOTY2

Tiger Shroff-starrer Student Of The Year 2 released today, i.e. May 10, and we got the opening numbers form 12 different cities of India. A few days ago, we had asked the tradewallas about their expectations from the film and they had mentioned that people would not be ready to accept Tiger Shroff, the action hero, in the role of a student. Their observation seems to prove right if we compare the opening collections of Shroff's previous release Baaghi 2, which was an out and out action film, with SOTY2.

As you can see in the table below, there is a huge difference in the opening numbers of both the films of the actor; especially in the cities like Saharanpur, Kota, Ajmer and Jodhpur. The collections of Baaghi 2 in these cities are approximately 396 per cent, 378 per cent, 300 per cent and 283 per cent higher than his current release, respectively. In cities like Allahabad and Bikaner, the difference in the numbers is more than double. However, these are just the opening numbers. Now we must wait and see how much difference does its first day collections make.
