Bharat, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Tabu and Sunil Grover in lead roles. Bharat will hit the screens on June 5, 2019.

By now, all Bollywood and perhaps, non-Bollywood lovers know that Priyanka Chopra was the original choice for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, and due to personal commitments, PeeCee had to walk out of the film. Post that, the makers of Bharat roped in Katrina Kaif to romance Salman Khan in the film, and while the film is just a few weeks away from release, during a LIVE Twitter session, Salman Khan took a sly dig at Priyanka Chopra for walking out of the film at the eleventh hour.

Amidst a host of questions, what caught our attention was when a fan asked Katrina about her preparation for her character, Kumud Raina, in Bharat, to which Katrina replied, “I had two months to prepare once we cracked the physicality and hair, everything fell in place.” But hang on, this is not it because after Kat’s reply, Salman Khan was quick to take a sly sig at Priyanka Chopra as he said, “Priyanka did not give us much time.”Well, did Salman Khan mock Priyanka Chopra for walking out of the film at the last minute? Well, only Salman can answer this.

Talking about Bharat, the film traces the journey of a man named Bharat which is played by Salman Khan, and chronicles his life from the age of 18 to 70. Prior to releasing the trailer of the film, the makers of Bharat had dropped a series of posters of the film and while one poster had Salman Khan flashing his salt-and-pepper look, another poster had Salman flaunting his ‘jawaani’ days. Bharat will hit the screens on June 5, 2019, and the film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff and Tabu in lead roles.

It was neither a dig as Salman’s line was a straight forward one - PC did not give them much time which is a fact, nor it was professional of PC at that time to do what she did. She was criticized much for it and this will always remain as one unprofessional incident in her career.

Oh boo hoo she picked her personal life over her professional life for the first time in her 18 year career. Big deal.

Wonder if PC's PR is posting this to try get her second hand limelight from Bharat- AFTER she ditched the project , lol.

Nah, PC’s PR wouldn’t waste time on this bullshit. Media in general likes to over exaggerate everything, Salman said this during a live chat, I don’t think it was a dig either but media needs to hype it up for clicks. Bharat team could request interviewers not to ask about Priyanka as well but they aren’t.

No matter how botoxed Katrina looks I can't imagine Priyanka in Chashni and sharing that sort of chemistry with Salman.

Chemistry between SalKat might be better but i can easily imagine Chashni was written keeping PC in mind. Appearance especially... PC could carry that off easily.

Director/Producer also mentioned nothing was changed after replacement.
