This is very true.

Previous queen had strong competition from Kangana/Anushka and for a brief period Sonam/Sonakshi and of course Katrina/Priyanka.

But Alia's nearest competitors are so far behind. Kriti Sanon is doing amazingly well, she needs 1 good performance in a big film to reach the next level. Parineeti/Shraddha have promising upcoming projects but both ladies lost a lot of steam in the last 2 years and are catching up but still lagging behind. Sara/Janhvi won't even be considered in the same breath as Alia for at least another 3 years.

And, it will take MUCH MORE than to be successful in their own rights for these ladies. They will also need Alia to have a few flops too in order to enter the vicinity of the throne.

Alia is a better actress than Kriti and Shraddha both of them have no acting talent, Shraddha had a chance to prove herself in Haseena Parkar but sadly she couldn't handle such a heavy role. She's just a pretty face and a better singer than actress.

This is the problem as much as we hate Alia we don’t have any other options.Shraddha is too busy doing roles that require no talent and Parineeti has lost so much weight that’s I’m thinking maybe her talent got lost tooThere is no other option. Alia is decent actress but with limited range. She can't justify period dramas as seen in Kalank. Not that other actresses are not as decent or even better than Alia, they don't get projects (written for them) to showcase their talent. That kind of project trajectory and connections can definitely bring them to position where alia is.

From new gen, Sara can give her tough competition , provided she tone down her OTT demeanor and pick meaty roles.
