Annika been wrong at times too and was a flawed character, she didn't have faith in Shivaay and their relationship but going by the history and what she went through being his wife I don't blame her at all when she left him during Roop Bua track.

Lol you are calling him jerk in before FS phase...Again you are judging his whole character only based on one of his traits..ie his NKK ideology...He had many shades and he was a jerk only in initial episodes...but when once he started trusting Anika...he started caring for her and tried to protect her...His whole world started revolving around her...If you remember their first karwachaut...the way he protected her from falling from the stool...The way he cared when she gets giddiness cuz she didnt eat anything that whole day..he didnt even break Tia's fasting he went to fuss over her to drink juice and what not...The way he said "Tumhe kuch ho jata toh mujhe kya hoga..." when Anika's knee got hurt..The way he was fussing over her and showered his love and care by putting ice packs when Anika lost her consciousness in that Spa resort...lol its clear he cared for her even much before he started admiring her and protected her many times even in Daksh fiasco...For me pre-shaadi episodes were golden days and i loved his billuism...and his caring nature for his beloved ones including Anika...And just cuz he was running away from his feelings for Anika...you cant call him jerk..oh well when you dont want to see his good side...you can never find it lol😆...I think to each to their own..

Regarding Anika,,she had her own share of flips in her account😆...but i dint mention her flips in this thread cuz it will turn into Shivaay VS Anika thread😆

But I do agree to one of the important points you mentioned...NKK this belief is actually very very real...most of us have that and as you said in various levels...

When Annika asked him to line up in queue at Mandir, I felt it his EGO and not any NKK beliefs...he was challenged and he did what he does instinctively in business...he used money to buy her off...in the show we rarely got to the business side of him with his competitors but I guess I will passe that knowing the limitations of PH/writers...but I think that scene was to give us the way Shivaay operates...

I don't think he even thought about what he did until Annika came back with full force and gave back to him with interest after she broke his windshield ...it hurt his EGO and I think he might be amused/astonished too that some one did have guts to give it back to him the way she did it...and he clearly didn't want to think of it...he ignored her in their second meet and behaved like she never existed..Did he mention about this in his monologue later on about their love story ? I need to go back and check that...I think that was on the Maha Aarti day and at that time I don't think he even thought he would again cross paths with Annika in his life...and then destiny had other plans...she kept crossing his path time and again and this time it was against his family as he thought...that's why he wanted to destroy/defeat her to show her the consequences if any one tries to harm his family... and added to the fact that she has no NKK only added to his anger for her...

For us to talk about Shivaay, I think we need to discuss about scenes in detail and then draw the conclusions...

Thanks for reminding me this point...I didnt rewatch these initial episodes...So i didnt remember exactly why he wanted to destroy her in 3 day challenge...So its bcz he MUed her that she was the reason( indirectly) behind Om's hurt or something related to his family..

And regarding remaining points you were right..and along with his prejuidiced belief about NKK, the circumstances also added to his MUings about her..She kept coming across his path in one way or the other even when he wanted to ignore her..

Yeah Shivaay was never a MCP...His prejuidiced beliefs about NKK was the only reason behind his jerky behaviour in the initial episodes..Regarding him manhandling in initial episodes...i never going to support that ...And its pathetic that Gul includes all this hand twisting scenes in all her shows...I dont know what kind of sadism it is for Gul...but Shivaay doesnt belong to regular typical AYM trope of Gul's MLs...He had his "Billu" side even from the beginning...NM toned down all those typical AYM mannerisms of Gul's MLs...And even on Forced shaadi many ppl laughed at his Colorful socks and didnt buy his manhandling bcz it never suited to NM's body language...he never looked like "oh he is so ruthless"...type of ML😆...But i have to give it to NM👏...he potrayed his jerky behaviour mainly through his expressions and his eyes eventhough he had no such body language!...Anyway Anika also gave takkar to him by biting his hand🤣...when he twisted her hand unlike all the other Gul's bechari haalath ke mari FLs who used to cry when the MLs twisted their hands😆

Generally...most of the time When a man abuse or Manhandle a Woman...they do it cuz they think they are superior to women...So ppl call Shivaay MCP based on only one or two manhandling scenes/incidents or circumstances like Forced Shaadi...They dont even watch the show and his whole journey and call him MCP based on promos toh what can we tell😆

many say that his behavior is only reserved to Annika and not others... there were not many ppl that he came across who had no NKK during the initial episodes...and especially not the likes of Annika who gave back to him without a blink in the eye...and so we felt that his reaction was only for Annika...

And after the shaadi drama, during pagphere rasam even with his NKK belief, when he saw Saahil is handicapped he was so guilty...probably more than guilty ...

for ppl with no NKK he really didn't care and didn't bother about them and mostly he rarely crossed the paths with them...
