Sunaina was restlessly walking up and down the room. Her son was returning after 5 long years. He had not forbidden her to visit him, not that it had stopped her from trying. Every time she had shown up, he had refused to meet her. It had pained her. It was all because of her'.
She was hoping Krishna would not show up. Naini had stopped talking to her a long time ago. She asked Naini, time and again about when Veer was coming or why did they not go pick him up but she had not received any satisfying answers. Well, he'll be home soon. Sunaina was looking forward to seeing her son.
The bell rings. Sunaina runs to the door and opens the door to see both Veer and Krishna standing together.
Sunaina: Veer...
Veer gives her a half-hearted smile. He sees Naini coming with the pooja thali. He sees Shashank holding a cute little girl smiling at him. He returns the smile.
Naini: Aik second dadda... Phalay hum apki aur bhabi ki aarti utar layn... phr andr ana...
Naini comes forward and does the aarthi. Veer notices his mother's hateful glances at Krishna. He knows her mother is not going to accept Krishna, but he doesn't care.
As soon as the aarthi was done, Sunaina hugged Veer and started crying. Sunaina ignored Krishna completely while Naini hugged both Krishna and Veer.
Shashank: Welcome home dadda...
Naini: Ub ap dono sath andr ayn...
Veer holds Krishna's hand. First time since morning, their hands met! They looked at one another, smiled and stepped in...
Yes, things from here on are going to be very difficult. So much to do, so much to fix but as long as they are together, everything will be fine...
