Leftist self-proclaimed intellectual' Shabana Azmi, who is often seen peddling pseudo-secular propaganda on social media, has again displayed her hypocrisy today.

Reacting to an infographic circulated on Social media with a quote attributed to her, Shabana stated that she had never said it.

The quote attributed to her read, "This Navratri, I pray to Allah that no Laxmi is forced to beg, no Durga is killed in the womb, no Parvati has to give a dowry, no Saraswati is deprived of an education and no Kali has to use Fair and Lovely', Inshallah.

Shabana Azmi, staying true to her "liberal credentials, blamed "trolls for communalising and polarising an "already charged election with a fake quote attributed to her.

However, Shabana soon discovered that social media makes lying slightly difficult. Especially when it is about one's older Hinduphobic posts.

It was soon pointed out to her that though the quote had used the word Allah' falsely, Shabana had indeed posted something very similar on the occasion of Durga Ashtami in 2017.

Many on Twitter have pointed it out to Shabana that she had indeed posted a very similar tweet that was a veiled attack on Hindu belief disguised as women empowerment. In her 2017 tweet, Shabana had used the occasion of Durga Ashtami, one of the most important Hindu festivals, to peddle a Hinduphobic agenda, using the names of Hindu goddesses.

When she had posted the Tweet, many had pointed it out to her that she had not included the injustice and harassment faced by Muslim women and had attempted to shame Hindus for common social evils.
