She was a known face at the time of her movie's release because of the song "ghar se nikalte hi", glad that she chose a different path and shone in it when the acting stint didn't take off.
I feel Ameesha's case was a bit different. She was hugely popular after knph and i feel she always thought that she would be able to make a successful comeback hence her sporadic appearance in movies.

Great to know that she made such a successful career in the tech industry after leaving Bollywood. 👍🏼

Like she said actors shd always have a backup plan. This is why education is so important.
