Dear Perfect Start,,

One of the disadvantages of coming late to a party is that most of what you wanted to say has already been said. But there are still a couple of points worth making.

What struck me on Friday evening was not just.the RV minus the Sir, though that is decidedly significant. It was that spontaneous hug, that too in full public view, and a prolonged one at.that ( of course for Rocky's full benefit 😉).

See, Happy is not a fashionable city girl, who hugs anything that moves.
.😆 She is, her snazzy new outfit notwithstanding, a conventional.small town girl.. For her to hug a man, who is not closely related to her,.in that fashion was startling. It shows a remarkable degree of.closeness to and a very high comfort level.with.RV.

RV was clearly taken.aback by that unexpected hug. How he interprets it remains to be seen, but Happy.could hardly blame him if he read a whole lot into.it.!

The other thing.was the total absence of any reaction from Happy to.that line "Tumhare chehre se meri.nazar hat thi hi nahin". She need not be a coquette to understand the depth of feeling in that sentence. Some reaction - shyness, pleasure, dismay.at RV's having gone so far -.something was clearly called for.

But apni Happy continued to be as placid and flat as a pancake.. Those who assert.that a woman always knows when a man loves her had clearly never seen Happy.😉

On a different note, I was extra pleased to know that you are not just a.fellow Austenite but a fellow Dumasphile as well. I read him both in the original French and in the English translations, which are excellent.. I.am sure you have read all the 5 volumes of The Three Musketeers series: the other four being Twenty Years After, The Vicomte de.Bragelonne, Louise de la Valliere, and The Man in the Iron Mask. But the Marguerite de Valois tryptich? The Joseph.Balsamo series? They.are all tragic for the most part, all.except.The Three Musketeers.

Finally, the Sasha in my id is my.son's pet name. My own name is Shyamala.. As I am over 70, most of my IF friends call me Shyamala Aunty. You might like to do so too.

@sammy:thanku for this post, and well said now this is not just infatuation he truly is attracted towards her and is truly and deeply concerned about her.

The change from RV sir to only RV was welcoming though if we keep aside the fact for a moment how he had wronged Rocky one can enjoy their undeniable chemistry but we cannot keep the fact aside for very long ofcourse it's a lie all not his concern and feelings but if you all noticed when happy says to RV in precap jo choot dhokay se lagti hai RV was looking guilty because he knows he's betraying happy by keeping her in dark and rocky is innocent.Just like lawlesslawyer and sasha pointed out.

The way RV's character is developing after leap is interesting to watch,he is helping happy in achieving her dreams, his feelings and attractions are only getting deeper he's guilty and I also think he doesn't like how happy was concerned for sardar ji.

@Lawlesslawyer:woww interesting UID RV se inspired ho k rkha hai? 🤣waisey yh toh RV ko bolna chahiye😆

About the tie..100% agree the tie actually ruined his entire look.

Yeah I also noticed that villainous bgm and like I said above he didn't like it when she says she knows sardar ji somehow he looked in sardar ji's direction and was angry like'ab kon hai yh sardar ji' yes I don't mind if an obsessive lover is so hot and gamdsome he's gonna slay it for sure even if there are no chances for ranha in the end.I just saw too many shades him after the leap in just one episode he's fida on lady happy, he cares deeply for her and for her dreams and he is guilty for what he did to Rocky and that he also is betraying happy's trust.A villanous bgm add some shades too and for now he's turning gray, which will be interesting to watch. I also agree with the fact that I was rooting for ranha though there was no hope of them ending up together but now as you said it will be more interesting to watch the growth of all characters individually.

I loved reading all the replies here, so well written.

Even I rolled my eyes when happy didn't even pick up or react with surprise to RV saying that to her. Like, how can no person tell from those words that a person has feelings for them when they say something like my eyes couldn't see anything other than you, or whatever the english translation for it is. 🤪He wasn't even being subtle there either.

That is just it! He was VERY direct, and Happy should have had his feelings for her staring her in the face. She is a real namoona!😉

@shaymala aunty:
My ID is perfectstart:D

I have only read count ofmonte cristo, not the other ones, yes the three musketeers is really popular but I have only seen tv series of it.
And I am not a pure Austenite either, a fan of Pride and Prejudice only, I respect your good opinion about my writing so much that I feel that I should not keep this from you that I am not an avid reader, but I have few favorites still, like J.K rowling and J.R.R tolkein.

Coming to the topic, as for your concern for happy being placid, I think she was too startled and too deeply concerned about sardar ji, who was no ordinary sardar ji that sardar ji was rocky, so happy was seeing everything from"dil ki aankh" logically it was not a normal reaction I agree but from a daily soap POV it can highly praised by fandom like happy hasn't forgotten rocky, not even RV's captivating green eyes can captivate her heart only rocky can, it was rather a proud moment if see it from a fandom POV.

Omg a handsome man is direct hitting the lady publicly and she was like oh my sardar ji my heart beats only for you😆

Comfort level is surely and totally 10/10 on the scale, happy hugging RV and RV going down on his knees holding her hand lovingly and full of concern telling her how she cares about everyone but herself and treating her wound asking patti tight toh nahi but happy is still startled and thinking about sardar ji.The scene was very nice.

First of all, my dear, sorry about the wrong id! It must have been that movie title stuck in my head😉, but I had noted the mistake and corrected it in my post even before you flagged it!

As for your reading, you should read what you enjoy, and I must tell you that our choice list matches to an amazing degree, beginning with Pride and Prejudice. I am sure you have watched the 1995 TV series on the book, which was a classic, especially for Colin Firth's Darcy.

I too love Tolkien, whom I came to know in 1968, way before you were born, and I have never tired of re-reading both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. I discovered Harry Potter only with The Goblet of Fire, and then worked backwards to catch up. Both Rowling and Tolkien excel in their ability to create a completely intermally consistent alternate universe for their characters, though Harry Potter is a combination of Enid Blyton and Tolkien, and the language is somewhat ordinary, whereas Tolkien has wonderful language - after all he was a Professor of Linguistics at Oxford!

I would still recommend that you try the other Dumas books, and from Jane Austen, only Sense and Sensibility. You will like it.

Now I had better make sure this post is not completely off topic!😉 I am glad you liked that scene, though I didn't. I find the girl totally unexciting, and as for the sardarji and the RK Films logo scene that seems to be mandatory (the girl bent over backwards on the chap's arm, probably hoping to God that he does not drop her, and he wondering how unexpectedly heavy she is😆), it made me yawn.

But then the Happy-Rocky amar prem kahani does not interest me in the least. I am sure the RoHa shippers (see how up to date I am with your lingo!😉) must now be relaxing, for their jodi is sure to sail off into the sunset by series end. The whole thing bores me stiff, my dear, kya karein?

The show itself is mediocre with a capital M. I came in only for Rohit, and he has been badly shortchanged already. I wonder if they told him in advance how they were going to demolish his character. Seeing the way things bid fair to develop, he will be cut down to 20% of the screen time or less, and will be boxed in between a festering sense of guilt and a one-sided fixation on this Happy. Poor boy. I have just to decide when to quit!

Hey there @Aunty!!!
Now I must say arguing with you on any topic is fun for one does get to learn a lot from the points you raise😉
Nevertheless it feels great to be on the same page with you for a change.

However unlike our guilty pleasure Porus which despite its illogical nature was entertaining this show has not much to argue on.
If I have to be honest then I had not seen a single episode before Rohit joined it.Prior to that I had seen a promo on twitter where Rocky was forcing Happy to marry him which turned me off. However I did catch up with it on a fine weekend even if it was on fast forward mode.

When it comes to Rohit's onscreen love interests we are always gonna be unlucky😆 In Porus we had to choose between the stotic Roxana and the confused Barsine. Here we have Anaya and Happy. So far if there was anyone who truly shone opposite Rohit then it was Pankhuri Awasthy in Razia Sultan.
Okay I shall not start that topic now because I won't be able to stop myself when it comes to PankHit😆

Back to this show,I am watching it for Rohit and for timepass. If they do manage to make RV an interesting and powerful antagonist then it would be worth it.Otherwise I'll have to move on as usual and wait for Rohit's next.

I agree with you far too much these days, Ayesha! 😉

I now begin to look back at Porus with.nostalgic affection. Which shows how pathetic this show is. I only hope Rohit's mistake in choosing this role doesn't turn out to be even worse than it looks like right now.

I too came in only with Rohit and because of Rohit. When I leave, it will also be because of RV. I didn't catch up with anything, and I am very little into Twitter, so I didn't see that promo either. Sounds very dubious, and only reinforces my serious concerns about the kind of obsessive RV will be made to become.

I agree with you - again?😉 - about RV's dismal choices for his love interest. I had noted somewhere here that between the hoity toity Anaya and the passive, pudding like Happy, the options were hardly inviting. Yes, poor Rohit is really jinxed in this department!😆 As are we. Unfortunately I missed your Pankhit.

OK, let me see how long I last. And you.
