Bhasm ho jaana is a figure of speech in hindi rather than in the literal sense of turning into ashes, otherwise when actually talking about actual ashes the words raakh and asthiya are used. So when gurudev said bhasm ho jaata hu, he was saying it as a figure of speech, not that he's literally going to turn into ashes.
I agree with u but acc 2 .my knowledge bhasm 2 is powder form , it dont mean 2 disappear
Bhasm is available in packets in market ,
if u see lord shiv ko bhasm arpit ki jati , even there is place in ujjain a mandir name mahakaleshwar waha bhasm aarti hoti 4 lord shiv.
Even 4 lord shiv it is said bhasm is apllied on his body , its 2 is in grey color
