A sabbatical will definitely do him good. SRK still has a very loyal fanbase. One good script can change the game for him. With good WOM his name is still capable of drawing massive crowds into the cinemas.

All he needs to do is to let go of his own perception of his stardom and his liking for grandeur & VFX.
