With a string of high profile weddings recently I am just curious if this is a new trend along with designer babies which they may be doing it as a their personal choice or just to maintain the status quo but what about the unmarried celebrities.

Do you think they feel pressured? 🤔

Apparently RS fans see getting married to Deepika as an achievement, and even call it a reason for 2018 being his year.😆 Ranveer also thinks that he has bagged the "top chick". People also say that Priyanka could've done better than Nick, so I guess it's some kind of competition of who gets the better deal in marriage.

Designer babies maybe a fad but I still feel marriage is personal and an important milestone and not just for show. Considering the stigma attached to a divorced celebrity in India I feel people are atleast cautious when it comes to choosing a spouse these days. What becomes of the union years down the line is however unpredictable.

The women too don't believe in 'marriage ends careers' in this era so there's no shame in parading around their relationship in public. There's obviously people who feel they are missing out or left behind but that seems to be more of a personal void than status quo in a public space.

Yes. After certain age, they want to start a family i guess like everyone else.

But the recent celebrity weddings last year (except for pc-nick), i think, they genuinely like/love their partner so its a have cake and eat it too situation.

I don't know? Not just celebs but think of all of us commoners. Okay, so lets say some rich woman, marries into bigger money for monetary reasons. Doesn't have to be a rich person, can be anyone. One of my cousins got married a few years ago and she kept bragging how rich her hubby is and how much land and nice things she gets. So for some, I think there is some security and bragging involved regardless if a person is a celeb or common.

Then there are those who don't care for marriage and don't see it as a personal gain or just get married for love or something.

So back to your question: I think celebs might do it for both reasons.

Marriage is just one dot in the event timeline of people's lives. Whether it is an important milestone or not is up to the individual. I don't think celebrity status has anything to do with how people perceive marriage.

It elevates them as a brand if they are marrying someone famous. Nick Jonas has been taking center spot in any Jonas Bros promotional pic, even though Joe was the most successful among brothers.

Neetu is dying to make Alia her bahu because it might help ressurect the dying Kapoor brand.

ETA: Of course it is chaar din ki chaandni, but you never know how much hay you can yield in those 4 days.

marrying might not be a milestone in professional life, but it does help with some endorsements, hype and importance for a time being as hantel said.
Even the likes of Bips/KSG were getting endorsements out of their marriage.
