the main problem with maunal is the lack of reason for falling out of love their relationship was perfect they were this ideal couple sure they did had day to day problems like any other married pair but nothing was so major that made kunal fall out of love that s core of all the mess neither mauli nor the audience know the reason why kunal fell out of love he just saw nandini dancing in rain one fine and bam he fell in love this reason is extremely is frivolous reason tbh
one of the main reason that mauli is stuck in past is because she does not even know what actually went wrong between her and kunal for her to start a new relationship she atleast needs to know what was lacking in her previous relationship only then can she move on
mauli thinks that she is not able to move on because she is still in love which is not the case the real reason is because she is still clueless about how to approach her second chance at all how to handle thing so that it will no go wrong this time mauli keeps on replaying her moments with kunal just so that she can find one reason one cause of failure of relationship
when she compares her moments with kunal and ishaan her heart and mind tries to find what different approach can be taken to make her relationship with ishaan a success and not a failure like her previous
mauli is not in love with kunal she thinks she is in but she is not mauli still finding the reason of failure of first marriage only then will she get a closure once for all only then will her mind and heart will be in peace and only then will she be able to move on finally and completely
