So how many of you feel Ranbir is brilliant on-screen? I feel he is easily one of the best actors out there.

It all started when big Bollywood stars and inevitably, the media started projecting him as the future of Indian Cinema or the greatest actor in Bollywood. In a chat show(Koffee with Karan), Kajol had ranked Ranbir Kapoor higher than Shah Rukh Khan in terms of acting skills. Even veteran actor Paresh Rawal had said, "Ranbir's performance in Rajneeti was superlative. All the other guys looked pale compared to him. Ranbir Kapoor is terrific. He is the future." He claimed that Rocket Singh, Wake up Sid and Rajneeti were his favourite Ranbir Kapoor movies.

Ranbir as an actor is incredibly amazing. The passion he has for acting and the perseverance he does, one can very well see that in his acting. Though some of his movies fail, but his acting is always appreciated and applauded. Like saawariya, it was a disaster but he won Best Debut Award - Filmfare. He has been nominated numerous times and has won many many awards too. Where he has reached in such a short period of time, not every one can do that.

Today, people feel Ranveer is head of him but I beg to differ. He can chew up Ranveer for lunch, if you ask me. And this coming from someone who praised Ranveer's 'versatility'.

Is it comparison thread of Ranbir and Ranveer or you just want to praise Ranbir ..

if you want to compare maybe you need to change the title.. it is little bit confusing with your last comparison sentences 😕

I like the depth in his acting and he emotes the pain through his eyes well.

Watching him in some films is better than others. He should try genre's he hasnt done.

I am sorry but moving around the screen with a deadpan face and big eyes is neither acting nor emoting. He is good in certain type of roles though i.e. manchild ones. I like him in WUS and YJHD.

If this is a comparison topic, then let me say please, Veera is the most versatile actor and finally being recognized for that. Ranbir is over-hyped inside the industry because he is a nepotism product. But any neutral audience can see that it is ONLY Ranveer who can pull off anything on screen, a street boy loafer (Gunday), a street boy with integrity in character (GB), an intense complex character (Lootera), an urban hunk (DDD), an aamchi Mumbai/NI guy (BBB), a historical (BM or Padmavat), a full on masala entertainer (SIMMBA). None except him from Post-Khan genre has this versatility in his filmography.
