Are Ranbir and Kangana the best of this generation?

Ranbir and Kangana are unanimously voted as great actors on this forum. So - are they the best of this generation? I am not talking about popularity, star power, mental stability etc. Just acting.

Of course yes. Even in films like Rangoon and Simran almost all critics have praised her performance regardless of how the movies were. Same is the case with Ranbir even in his worst films.

In terms of acting prowess and passion, I definitely think Kangana is up there when it comes to talent. Very few of the new generation female actresses come very close to her acting prowess. Ranbir is talented but is never consistent or completely invested and passionate about all his projects. I think with Ranbir he often takes things for granted or doesn't have the same zeal and passion for Bollywood that some others do which for me personally has been more noticeable over recent times. And then at other times I find that he tends to overact/ham which is another thing that bothers me. I wish he could get back to the way he was in Sawariya. That performance was spectacular but also showed complete and utter investment in that role. So I think in terms of actors, I would rate Ranveer higher just because his passion and investment makes the difference in his performances. Ranveer can go overboard at times too but his recent choices and characters really showed his versatility and his ability to transform.

What does best mean?
I wouldn't pay my money for their movies just because they appear in the movie.
In ranbirs case i really get bored watching him cause it's always the same and predictable. After barfi it's like he stopped and only repeats.
After his flops he gave an interview with masand that he needs to learn new tricks and well I am waiting for that movie and that wasn't sanju it was terrible.
Kangana tries different stuff but well queen was the last movies of hers I enjoyed.
In both cases the movie REALLY needs to be good that I would maybe attempt to watch it.

I feel Ranbir definitely is.

Kangana is better than Alia

Ranveer or Vicky.
Vidya.

Kangana is a very talented actress. She puts her soul into the role. I like Alia too but she has still long way to go to reach kangana's level of delivering performance. Only PC and Vidya can give thoda takkar to kangana. But Vidya is older and has weight issues bcoz of which she may not be apt for particular roles and PC is interested in HW.

Yes, Ranbir is the Best actor and Kangana is the best actress of this generation
