After two back to back blockbuster, Ranveer Singh latest film Gully Boy hits the theatre on Valentines day. As expected, the film takes flying start at the box office. Gully Boy is receiving solid response from audiences across the country. Gully Boy has got mostly positive review from critics as well as audience.
After a massive opening day collection of Rs. 19.40 Crore on day 1, Gully Boy saw significant drop on 2nd day. It collected around Rs. 13.10 Crore on Friday and took total to Rs. 32.50 Crore. The drop is expected as friday was a non-holiday, the film is again expected to pick up on Saturday and Sunday. Gully Boy is the biggest opener for this year so far and also for Alia Bhatt. And it is 2nd biggest opener of Ranveer Singh after Simmba (Rs. 20.72 Cr). The film also saw a good response from overseas by collecting approx. Rs. 7 Crore in 2 days and took worldwide collection to Rs.45.23 Crore. Zoya Akhtar directed movie has started with a bang and expected to Cross Rs. 100 Crore by 2nd week, if collection in the weekdays holds good.
