I think she hates him because he couldn't take responsibilities after marriage. He was on the verge of becoming alcoholist. He was alwyas depressed which means even her love, support couldn't made him forget his pst. She hates him for not leaving past behind and ruining their life. For now she believes that leaving ritiwik was the only way to save him from self destruction because he did not make any efforts to come out of his past. She made choice to leave him but according to her ritiwk left no choice for her. This is what I felt from palaks reaction.

Which is a pity for her since she is one of strong character. She had to fall in love and got married to a guy who has weak mentality.

I dont think it was Ritwik's self destruction mentality or his inability to transform himself.. Palak kept making blunders one after another in an attempt to hide all about Vikrant and his mum.. first trying to involve him in that fake marriage of Vikrant and then giving him sleeping pills to keep away from it... she didnt trust Ritwik's decision making capability so she kept taking decisions on his behalf..

At the end, its about Ritwik and his biological mom which they had to deal with, before Palak could interfere and make her own decisions... it was definitely not like Palak was fed up of Ritwik after years of tolerating him, it was matter of few weeks/months..

Having the first season off aired prematurely had ruined the story. I don't think they were planning to do it that way and make the separation and the leap. It is because they are going off air and trying to make a reboot in season 2. They have to create story to make ways for season 2.

I think we tend to inadvertently make Rithwik the centre of the story ... his past, his emotions, his inability to trust, his depression because his family would not back him up, and Oh Yes, his family.

It takes two to tango ... and it takes two to make a relationship. The story belongs to both Rithwik and Palak. When has anyone, and by that I mean any one offscreen (audience) or onscreen (the characters), ever cared for Palak, the person, the individual? Will she always be evaluated based on how she fares as Rithwik's rehab centre? The "middle-class" girl Rithwik "deigned" to fall for?

A superlatively bright, strong-willed, independent, happy, spirited, never-say-die young girl falls in love with a man who has emotional and family baggage that weighs more than Mount Everest would weigh. From the word go, she got labelled as a "gold-digger", "characterless" ... bordering on prostitution by his family. The guy kept saying he would break all ties and start a new beginning. Did that ever happen?

And lets get real ... we keep saying she lied to him. I recall my entire family omitting to tell my mami that she had cancer until they absolutely had to. We lie to our loved ones when we know already that the alternate will hurt them intensely. We lie to protect them. And it was extremely evident that she always wanted to protect him. And ofcourse she shouldn't trust his decision making capabilities...a guy who has more than once become an emotional wreck where his birth-mother is concerned, even any certified doctor would be concerned ...and why do we forget that she protected him because a doctor advised the same?

I am personally someone who is a lot like Palak in that I too have a "never-say-die" attitude, especially in a relationship... the difference is that I respect myself enough to know when to say "I have needs too and I am a person in my own right too, not just someone's partner". She doesn't know this difference. She was willing to give up her love because the boy's mother asked her to. She did that for him.

At the beginning of season one Palak had cursed him that the girl he would fall in love with will leave him
so will this story have a happy ending?
