I'm one that's firmly in the Single-Mauli camp.

I do not think Mauli has any romantic feelings for Ishaan whatsoever. She's known him for 3 years before Kunal came back into her life, and all of their ~romantic scenes seem just.. meh, with Ishaan spouting lovely-dovey lines and Mauli looking vaguely uncomfortable. There's definitely a whole lot of warmth there, respect, companionship, all those. I also think romantic chemistry is either there or it isn't, and MauHaan don't have it. They at least have a stronger basis for a relationship than kundini, I'll give them that. And the friendly chemistry they share is more than what SA and DD managed. Yup, I said what I said. Also, Ishaan seems more of an archetype than a fully fleshed-out character.

Coming to MauNal, I echo the sentiments of people here who said that Kunal not only broke Mauli's heart, he humiliated her over and over and exhibited a staggering amount of insensitivity toward someone he supposedly cared about. The only thing MauNal has going for it is the ShaDiti chemistry, which still feels natural.

Though I don't know what to think of it, with all the clues and symbolism, Sandhyaji's villainy, Kunal's unhappiness with MauHaan's engagement before the accident, Mauli's zombie-mode in the Khanna household, I'd say the writers are going with a MauNal ending. Of course, this could change anytime. I actually thought Mauli would start falling for Ishaan for real after the Mishti revelation, but nope, I was wrong.

Anyway, the point of my rambling was to state that if MauNal absolutely HAS to be the end, I'd rather they leave it open-ended, sort of a maybe-in-the-future ambiguous thing instead of a rushed epic love declaration. I'd love for Mauli(not Ishaan) to call off the wedding prep by telling Ishaan that he deserves someone who can love him back the way he loves. I'd love for Mishti to be understanding of the decision. I'd like for Mauli-Pari and Kunal-Mishti to start bonding, with Kunal saying he knows Mauli isn't sure about him at all, but he will wait as long as it takes. BAM-ending. No KKHH MauNal wedding ffs.

@bold: I too have the same problem with MouHaan. Like here are two good people who have immense respect and care for one another. But the makers never fleshed it. Like when was the last time those two even talked to one another? Yesterday Kunal hugs Mouli and they dont even talk about it? Aren't they in the least bit intrigued about whats going on? Couldn't Mouli once talk to him about how he is feeling? Like your fiance's ex wakes up and hugs her and demands that she stay with him and...your reaction is nothing? Talking about it wouldn't have made Ishaan insecure, even it did, it would have given him a bit of character, unlike now when he is just bland.

I don't mind Mouli single for now, but I don't want her indefinitely single. And again she has already been single for years now. There are people who live alone, but there aer very few of them. My grandmother was widowed at the age of 23 and she never married again. And she sure isn't miserable but she is lonely. Life is long and companionship is needed. And Ishaan is a great guy...I just wish they would explore these characters a little.

You summed up why I haven't been able to fully get on the MauHaan bandwagon. I feel like Ishaan's just.. there. His job is to just be the supportive nice guy. He doesn't ever have an authentic reaction to anything. Mauli hurriedly says yes to his proposal AFTER Kunal comes back, he asks her ONCE if she's sure, and then when she very clearly lies through her teeth that she is, he happily accepts her decision. Second time, Mauli says she isn't ready, he agrees, Sandhya comes there and forces a surprise re-engagement, and Mauli blatantly says she doing it to please Sandhya and Mishti, and once again, he agrees happily. He didn't even ask her "What about you?" He's written like this caring sensitive guy on the surface, but he doesn't really dig deeper into Mauli's emotions and call her out on it. The only time I got a human reaction from him was during that confrontation after Mauli breaks the engagement. But even then, he never thought to question his mom when he and Mauli were quite happy before Sandhya entered the picture. Now I'm not saying he's a bad person, not by a long shot. He's just seems happy to take Mauli's half-hearted acquiescence in stride as long as he gets to marry her.

ETA: Apologies, I wanted to like your post, but my stupid like button isn't working. 😳

How dare you? hehe

Yeah, even I thought there will be a scene where he say that he asks his mother if she said anything to Mouli. And more importantly there would be a scene with Mouli where he says that his mom is bit old fashioned and is having a hard time coming in terms with Mouli's past. But will get over it when she realizes how happy they are together (which she does, Sandhya at present has no problem with Mouli and she actually seems very fond of Mishti). But most importantly, no matter what happens he is with her. That would have been such nice scene and a beautiful look into their equation.

But that didn't hppen. There were so many opportunities to establish "chemistry" between MouHaan but the makers were too focused on cheap tricks and sloppy tracks (which benefited no character btw). But still MouHaan as a couple is more believable and acceptable than Mouli falling for Kunal again.

Oh, trust me, I'm not sure how they'd believably get MauNal together either. I just wanted to give my two cents that if that pairing has to be the endgame, I'd rather they leave it open-ended than show a happy lovey-dovey MauNal wedding.

On point comparison, but don't be disheartened. Just think about it, if Maunal was the endgame, they wouldn't show this amnesia track at all. It wouldn't be needed. Mauli already loves Kunal, seems hesitant for an Ishaan marriage, and once they told her all the stuff Kunal did to get her and Ishaan together she would have been putty in Kunal's hand.

If Maunal was the endgame, they would push the wedding until the last week of Feb., Kunal would show up at the mandap, tell Mauli how sorry he is. Mishti or Ishaan would reveal that Kunal helped arrange Ishaali wedding, Mauli would cry, Ishaan would tell her to go to Kunal and she would.

They wouldn't have chosen such a complicated amnesia track. So don't give up hope.

Amnesia track is here to show once again kunal in mauli's love . Without amnesia track , how can they show kunal in mauli's love ? Now if they show that kunal once again fall in with mauli after leap than up till now whatever divinity they have portray for kundini relationship will fall flat and proved as that juzzbat for nandini was always wrong and it was always attraction which is against their own tag line "jazzbat to jazzbat hote hai' .

Kunal's character had looked more cheap without this amnesia track like pehle mauli fir nandini ab fir se mauli .

Iss track se unke 5 fayde hoge .

1) amnesia se nandini ki memories completely format ho gai and kunal becomes pehle wala mauli ka kunal and that too without damaging his character so now kunal loves mauli aisa ek he episode mai confirm ho gaya .

2) Writers iss tarike se kunal ko uske pre leap karmo ki bhi Saza de denge like showing ek Taraf Mauli shaddi ki rasme kar rai hai or dusri taraf kunal mauli ke liye ro ro kar pagal ho raha hai uske intezar me so basically kunal ka punishment track bhi isi mai cover ho jayega

3) Mauhaan ki shaddi to hone se rahi . Mauli ke side se ye arrange marriage he hai aisa clearly dikh raha hai .uper se writers ne mauli ko ishaan ke sath kabhi romantically involve nai Kia or Aj kal to dekho na last scene aisa kab aya tha jab unhone ishan mauli ke akele ka koi bhi scene dikhaya ho . Family or mishti ke samne he unke sare conversations writer ne dikhaye hai . As a couple one on one scene to kabhi unke dikhaye he nai hai . Kyun bhai aisa kyon?? After all mauli ka pati banega aisa hone wala hota to atleast one on one kuch scenes to dete na dono ke .

4) Kunal ke punishment ke track baad I don't think uski memory wapas ayi aisa dikhayege. Badi mushkil se writer ne nandini ka chapter close kiya hai isiliye abhi wo memory wapas lakar nandini case reopen nai karege

5) mean time mai ishaan bhi mauli ko chod ne ke liye ready ho jayega or mauli ko ddlj or kkhh ka combo dialogue bolega " Mauli jab se tumne pyar ko samja hai sirf kunal se pyar kiya hai , jaa mauli jaa Jee le apni zindgi " . Maunal tight hug . Silsila end.
