Was Nakul at fault? (Badhaai ho)

Renee's mom said so many baseless things about nakul'ss family which led to renee-nakul's fallout. Renee loves and respects her mom but how was is it nakul's fault ? If somebody disrespects my family like this, I would tear them to pieces.

I actually didn't like the fact that he went to Renee's house and apologized to her mom. Her mom was outright disgusting and needed to hear what he said. Bade ho to Matlab kuch b bologe.

I think it wasnt anybody's fault.. but still both should have apologized.. not just Nakul..

It was Nakul's fault because he evesdropped into their conversation. Renee's mom did nothing wrong because she was speaking to her daughter alone in the house. It was Nakul who came in and heard it. Renee's mom never insulted Nakul's parents in front of him. It was he who heard it by choice when he was not supposed to be there. And Renee rightfully reprimanded him and asked him to apologize for his behaviour towards her mom.

I think Renee mom said nothing wrong. She talked about facts as old age pregnancy is not as good or safe as movie tried to show. The movie was quite ambitious and it ignored all the negatives of something like that

Nakul wasn't at fault as it was not like he was purposefully eavesdropping, it just happened. Renee's mom had obnoxious views about his family, and deserved an earful. But Renee getting upset is also understandable, her mom was her life, so it was natural for her to feel bad that her life partner embarrassed her in front of her mother.
and him apologizing to Renee's mom was a very wise nice, as suggested by Priya that holding on to ego and not trying to mend things will eventually break them up totally and Nakul should apologize and get the things right, as they say sorry isn't bigger than relationship, as it is not always about being right, but doing things which make the circumstances right. Holding on to grudges and ego, is the reason why world is full of conflict and Nakul had such big hearted family, he had to take the first step to save his relationship.

I don't think Renee's mom was wrong. She was talking in private to her daughter. Not insulting his family in front of him. He heard it by accident and then his rant was a natural reaction. So, I don't think Nakul was at fault for eavesdropping. But Nakul was right to apologise because although whatever he said to her mom was a natural reaction for anybody, it was still rude. There's a way of talking and especially in such formal relationships. Badtameezi was his fault and it's good that they showed him apologising. Renee's mom was not wrong and didn't need to apologise because she was sharing her opinion with her daughter in private. That's not wrong.

he just happened to reach their, and over heard the things, he didn't went with the intention, oh let me wait and listen to what they say about me and my family.
