i feel bad for women in general that come from the region tbqh.. i just wish they had better life experience and knowledge to not have ingrained misogyny .. and rise above the societal bullshits

Hmm, nope ! Sonam's movies aren't majorly produced by her family. As of now only 3 of them have been (Aisha, Khoobsurat and Veere Di Wedding). It's only 3 movies out of 20...

Deepika might star in the first superheroine movie of Bollywood (cf. Filmfareinterview) . I think her choice of doing Meghna Gulzar movie is deliberate and not because she lacks choices.

Anushka was already focusing more and more on her home productions. There are rumors that she might do a movie with SLB.

What might hurt her career is that she didn't have a single hit this year. Moreover, she seems to always end up in movies as a second choice.

Honestly I was appalled at Ajay's dismissive tone towards Priyanka n Deepika on kwk and am sure many in the industry has such thinking with regards to married actresses.

Sonam never really hustled for movies and picked hatke one' and has rhea n her father's backing is what I wanted to say. I am in no way putting her down.

Anushka n Deepika have their PH's n might produce movies they like n back themselves up but fact is that they have no mainstream movies right now. Especially Anushka who is been married since a year. We did not feel her lack of mainstream movies coz she had two major releases outside her PH.

I really hope the situation changes but industry as a whole is very sexist n ageist wrt women so change is difficult to come.

I don't think being married is as much of a roadblock as it used to.

Kajol, Juhi, Rani and Madhuri have chosen to focus on their children and made career choices in that sense.

Otherwise, they did romance onscreen afterward just like Aishwarya or Kareena.

Preity had already disappeared before marriage.

Vidya had health issues and chose bad scripts after her marriage from Ghanchakkar to Begum Jaan.

I think for some actresses, marriage was an escape from Bollywood as it appears everything isn't rosy there.

Sonam, Deepika and Anushka seem different. Their focus seems to still be on work. They might change their career course as they have other ventures too.

It might be the fact to become a mother that will make them take a break .

An actress -and it's true in all the industries across the world- has to have interesting roles written and offered to her.

Some married actresses might have had flops but it was roles that still were written for them (mature actresses).
