Could Farc leader's death lead to war?
Ecuador and Venezuela have announced they are sending troops to their borders with Colombia, in response to the killing of a Farc leader in Ecuadorean territory. Will regional tensions escalate further?
Raul Reyes, a senior commander of Colombia's left-wing rebel group Farc, was killed by Colombian forces inside Ecuador on Saturday. Colombia's government has now issued an apology.
Both Ecuador and Venezuela have also withdrawn staff from their embassies in the Colombian capital Bogata.
Farc retains a firm grip over some of Colombia's more remote regions and it still holds many hostages. President Chavez recently secured the release of six hostages into his care.
What do you think of the troop deployments? How badly has the death of Raul Reyes affected Colombia's relations with its neighbours? What is the best way to reduce tensions in the region?
