This is for Khusboo, who wants Bani to have amnesia...and have things hunky dory with JW. So here I go, leave good, bad and reallly bad comments on the story. I am not sure how this is going to go...depends if Khusboo likes it...title courtesy of Khusboo too. Thanks dear.

Jai Walia paced the hospital corridors, sweating profusely, he kept looking towards the operating theatre door, when is the damn doctor going to come and let him know Bani is going to be ok.
Masi and Ganga spotted him and Ganga ran up, crying and flingling her arms around his waist. "Papa! Where is mama? I want to see her. She is alright na."
Masi tried to soothe Ganga, "Now beta, you promised you wouldn't cry. Mama is going to be fine." Masi gave Jai a wane smile, "Doctor ne kuch kaha?"
JW shook his head. He lifted Ganga up and kissed her softly, "Mama is going to be alright. She is just going to be fine." Ganga wrapped her arms around his neck and slowly stopped crying. JW sat down and rocked her. Masi sat beside him, "Did you tell her what you wanted to say?"
"No masi! She didn't give me chance. She just blindly ran away from me as I tried to talk to her. Kuch nahi samaj aata masi. Hum dono ke rishte mei kitne thokare likhe hai. Jab bhi hum kareeb ate hai toh phir se kuch nayi takleef samne baith jati hai."
Masi soothing his back, "Everything will be fine munna, you will see. My Bani will forgive you."
Another hour passed and the doctor came out. "Mr Walia. Your wife is going to be fine. There is no bleeding inside the brain and we have stitched up her cut on the head. Rest we will have to wait till she wakes up."
Ganga asks the doctor, "Can I go and see mama?"
The doctor smiled at her, "yes you can, but you will have to be very quiet as your mama is sleeping."
Ganga gave him a smile, "I promise I will be very quiet." Tugging at JW's arm, "Chaliyena papa…"
They walk into the private room where Bani is lying connected to various monitor. Ganga crying again, "Papa could you lift me up. I want to see mama's face." Jai lifted Ganga up and slowly sat her down next to Bani. Ganga bent and pressed a kiss on Bani's cheek, "Mama get better soon. I love you." With a sad face Ganga looked at Jai, "Papa can I stay till mama wakes up. I promise I will be good. Don't send me home."
"Why don't you go and sit outside with masi? Will you do that for me?" Ganga nodded her head and went out. Jai pulled a chair closer and sat down. He stared at Bani's pale face. He cursed himself, why did he get angry at her, he should have left her alone if she did not want to talk to him. No his ego would not let her walk away from him and so she had burst into tears when he had accused about her and Daksh again and she had ran out crying straight into the path of the oncoming car.
He buried his face in her lifeless hand and sobbed, "Bani I am so sorry. I know the truth about you and Daksh, I just wanted to hear it from your mouth…I just wanted you scream at me once more there was never anything between the two of you…that Daksh is your brother-in-law. I know I should have trusted you instead of Jigyasa but I was so much in pain from losing Atharva and Krishna…I wasn't thinking right. But if you had come back, we could have talked and straighten things out. Why did you run away as always? Why can't you talk to me?"
JW felt her fingers move beneath his face and he raised his head slowly and looked at her twitching fingers (should have poked his eyes silly girl while you had the chance). Turned his face and looked at Bani, her closed eyes were moving slightly as if she was struggling with herself. "Bani…Bani.." he whispered softly. Her eyes opened slowly and she stared straight up. He sat and watched but she did not turn her eyes or her head. This time he said a little louder, "Bani…" Bani turned her face and stared at him blindly. Jai leaned closer, "How are you Bani? How is your head?"
Bani looked at him strangely, "Where am I? Who are you? I want to go home." She tried to sit up but her body drained from the accident did not have the strength to sit up. Jai looked baffled, "Bani is Jai…don't you remember the accident?"
She shook her head, "What accident? And I don't know anyone called Jai. I want to go home." Jai quickly rang the buzzer to call the nurse and waited for her to come. A nurse and doctor rushed in. "Doctor what is wrong with her. She doesn't remember anything." The doctor checked Bani's pulse and then asked her, "Mrs Walia do you remember being hit by the car? Do you remember what you were doing on the street?" Bani shook her head and gave him a puzzled look. "I don't remember anything. Can I go home doctor? I just want to go home and sleep."
"Not yet Mrs Walia. We have to do some tests." The doctor turned to JW, "I think your wife has amnesia, how severe it is only you will be able to tell, but at the moment she doesn't remember the accident or anything just before the accident. You should bring your daughter and masi in, she if she remembers them."
Jai quickly went outside and brought Ganga and masi back in. "Mama!" Ganga shouted. Bani just stared at Ganga and masi. Masi smiled at Bani, "Kaisi ho Bani?"
"Bani?" Bani looked flustered, "Yeh Bani kaun hai? Aur yeh bachi kaun hai?" Bani pointed at Ganga.
Masi looked puzzled at Jai and the doctor. The doctor looked at JW, "Sorry Mr Walia, looks like the amnesia is severe(Khusboo is the expert on all type of amnesia so all questions go to her) as she doesn't remember any of you."
"Hai Ram!" masi sat down on the chair, "Bhagwan meri bacchi ko kya aur bhogatna hai. Thodi toh dayaa kar meri bachi par." Masi starts crying and Jai tries consoling her. Ganga smiles at Bani, "Mama you don't remember anything? Mujhe bhi nahin? Don't worry, I will help you. We will have fun mama, looking at pictures and remembering all our time in Meerut."
Jai turned to the doctor, "When can I take her home doctor?"
"In a couple of day. It's best if she kept under observation until we are sure there is no other damage. Plus we want to do some tests tomorrow." Jai took Ganga's hand, "Why don't you go home now with masi and rest. You can come back tomorrow with Adi uncle."
Ganga nodeed, "Can I bring our photo album to show mama?"
"Yes you can bring what ever you want. Masi could you ask Rano to come down. See if she can help Bani remember something."
When they left, Jai went and sat down near the bed, "Bani that is you name…are you hungry?" Bani smiled at him shyly, "Yes. Could I get some tea to drink?" Jai nodded, happy at least she was talking to him. Standing up he squeezed her hand, "I will go and get food and tea for you."
After he left Bani just stared blankly at the walls, trying to figure out who all these people were, how did they know her? And who was this good looking man taking care of her?
