Main kudi anjaani hoon, shaher anjaana ho
Kahan main chali aayi ho, kahan tha mujhe jaana ho
Yahan pe bhanwre, vahan pe bhanwre
Kahan pe hai voh mera parwaana
Bani is released from hospital and taken to Walia mansion...
Masi does arti before Bani is allowed to enter the house. Bani steps inside and looks around wide eyed, "Itna bada makan...yeh mera ghar nahi ho sakta." Ganga holding Bani's hand tight, "Haan mama, yeh saach hamara ghar hai. It's beautiful isn't mama." Ganga grinned at Jai, "Can I show mama to her room papa?" Jai nods and watches mother and daughter walk up the stairs. Masi puts her hand on Jai's arm, "Kitna acha lagta hai, dono ko dekh kaar. Bhagwan hamesha dono ko salamaat rekhe." Pushing Jai a little, "Jaa, tu bhi jaa."
Jai walks slowly up and when he reaches his room, he stares. Bani is pulling Ganga, "This is not my room...I don't like this room. I don't want to stay in this room." Ganga trying to stop her, "Mama, this is your and papa's room." Bani getting flustered, "NO! I am not married. I don't have a husband. This is not my room Ganga. I don't like it here." Tears starts falling and Jai rushes up, he gently removes Ganga's clutch, "Listen Ganga, mama is not well. If she doesn't like this room she can stay in another room. Lets take her to another room and she if she is happy there."
"But papa...I want you and mama to be together...you promised we would be together."
Jai giving her a quick hug, "We are together, but we can't upset mama. She needs to get better. Com1"
He takes Bani's hand and gives her a smile, "Come Bani, lets find you a room that you like."
Opening the door of a guest room next to his, he lets Bani step inside. Bani walks around the room and opens the door to the balcony and steps outside. After a minute or so she walks back in and smiles, "I like this one, I will stay here." She sits on the bed and looks around. "Can I have a cd player in my room and a tv...and..." pointing at the armchair, "I don't want that...can I get a sofa." Jai nods, "Anything else?" After thinking for a few seconds, "Where are my clothes?"
Jai looks at Ganga, "Papa, can we go shopping? Lets take mama shopping for new clothes."
Jai asks, "Bani, do you want to go shopping. You don't have a lot of clothes."
Bani beams him a smile, "Shopping, yes."
"Well have a rest first, then we will have lunch and then go shopping." Jai holding his hand out at Ganga, "Come on, let mama take a rest." Jai and Ganga leave the room and Bani lies down and falls alseep.
Downstairs, masi asks Jai, "Is she comfortable Jai? Did she remember anything?"
Jai shakes his head, "No masi. I don't understand...she refused to stay in our bedroom, said she does not like the room. She is sleeping in a guest room." Masi mumbles, "Kuch yaadi joondi haina...achi aur buri." Jai overhears and flinches, yes there were good and bad memories associated with the room.
At the mall, Jai lets Ganga decide which shops they should visit. Bani looks in wonder at the variety of shops, displaying so many different clothes. She stops in front of the boutique and stares at a dummy wearing pink flowing skirt and a sleeveless kurti. Ganga pulls her hand, "Mama do you like something?" Bani nodded and pointed at the skirt. Ganga grinned, "I like it too...pretty. Lets go. Papa, mama ko yeh skirt..." and she pointed. They went inside and Bani tried on the skirt and top, liked it and brought it. In another shop Bani brought couple of capris and t-shirt. Jai whispered in Ganga's ears, "Are you sure your mama is going to wear these kind of clothes? She always wore saris and salwaar."
Ganga gave his a funny look, "Mama is still young. She can wear them, I think she looks cute in them. Look..." Jai gawked as Bani came our wearing a low waist jeans and a short top which showed off her belly, "What do you think Ganga?" Turning and trying to look over, "Does it make me look fat?"
"Nooooo...mama. You look wow...what do you think papa?" Jai gulped and asked, "Are you sure? You never used to wear jeans before?" Bani flicked her hair back and turned slowly looking in the mirror, "I don't believe you...I must have worn jeans before. I do look good in them. I will get them."
By the time they finished shopping, Jai's head was spinning...this amnesia, was it for real. Bani did not by a single sari or salwaar khameez. Instead his hands were full of bags holding western clothes. And if that was strange, than when they stopped for a bite to eat, Bani had eaten two vegetarian burger and fries...before she hated fast food and today...what else was she going to surprise him with.
