I loved Mauli for not telling Kunal all these years that he has a daughter. He didn't deserve to know he had a daughter. It's great to watch him want his daughter now and not have her. But after yesterday's episode I feel like she should handle this situation slightly differently. As much as I want Kunal to suffer, Mishti is suffering more.
In all the years since their breakup Mauli hasn't healed from Kunal's rejection. Ishaan is available, Ishaan can be everything Kunal was and more but she still can't just forget the rejection. How is Mishti, a little child supposed to move on or heal after finding out that her father didn't want her. Mauli was right until the reveal. I feel she was right in hiding the fact that Kunal didn't want Mishti. But I think Mauli knows in present time Kunal does want his daughter and he does love his daughter. Even if she doesn't believe him she suspects it. So when Mishti specifically says that her father doesn't love her, Mauli shouldn't try to keep her away from Kunal and make the misunderstanding worse. Right now Mishti's emotional being, her emotional security should be more important than punishing Kunal. Keeping them apart won't fix things. She won't forget her father abandoned her just because he is not in front of her and she has a replacement Papa. Mauli should let Mishti and Kunal bond so Mishti can feel that she is indeed loved and wanted. She should clear her daughter's misunderstanding, not deepen it by letting her believe even after finding out her father still easily walked away from her. Mishti's anger won't die just because she no longer sees Pari or Kunal. The truth will always haunt her and hurt her unless it turns into something good. Even if Mauli is not sure about anything and she is too scared to make any real move because of what it would mean for Mishti, she should at least tell her daughter that her father does claim to love her and that her father does want her.
