It does not take a paediatrician to figure out that a child needs both parents. Any normal person knows.
But whether the second parent for Mishti should have been Kunal is debatable given his past history. As far as Ishaan is considered, he is a father figure for Mishti that's understood. But he is not the father yet. One may have father figures in our life inspite
of having a real father and it can be more than 1. Ishaan s relationship with Mishti has been independent of Mauli and he doesn't have to marry Mauli for it. If Ishaan really loves Mishti he can be a father figure even if Mauli marries someone else, I don't mean Kunal here.

I do believe at this point Mauli can take a decision for Mishti independently . It's her right.
P. S. Kunal May have some rights too. But currently Ishaan has none.

I would agree with what you said IF Mouli hadnt let Ishaan be a such a big part of her and specially Mishtis life?
Clearly Mouli is independent. She even showed Kunal his place in yesterdays episode. Then why didnt she draw a boundry in a relationship and bonding that her "friend"and her daughterf share. I mean by now we know that Ishaan proposed quite a while ago. If she didnt want that why didnt she make it clear to him? From not just Idhaans behaviour but also from dida and Radhika reactions and interactions it seems that Mouli wanted a family with Idhaan and Mishti but jist needed time. And even then she could have made it clear to Ishaan that she doesnt want him heavily involved in Mishtis life. But from what we have seen she very much id comfortable with the relationship he and Mishti had. And now she even said yed to marry him.

That yes changes everything. Because Ishaan waited, never pushed, but waited patiently for years for Mouli to be comfortable and say that yes. And Now she has, he has every right to assume that she did that whole-heartedly.

He has been clear that he wants a family with Mouli but Mouli isnt being honest. He wants to be the father not a nanny. Him making decisions for Mishti or Mouli isnt about Mouli not being able to be independent, but it about Ishaan thinking of what he thinks is his familly.

Nandini dying or "leaving" didn't leave any mark whatsoever on Pari. Pari didn't knew her. Pari missing her mother has nothing got to do with her either experiencing or knowing her mother, simply because she didn't. She was 2 year old when Nandini succumbed . She'd not have any memory whatsoever . She misses her because children miss the parent fugure which they don't have in their lives . Because she sees other girls of and around her age having their mumma around .
Mishti wouldn't have missed any thing if she was taken to a an isolated island and brought up here . In any normal society , when kids grow up a little and start understanding their surroundings a little bit better , they observe and learn and the craving starts.

In the book "The Silence of the lambs" , psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter said to Alice, " how do we begin to covet, Clarice? Do we seek out things to covet? No. We begin by coveting what we see every day. "

That is exactly how children learn to crave and yearn. Thereby starts the missing.

People can and infact do manage to do remarkable things with only one hand , or with one leg. It's known . There are so many inspiring examples. But does that mean any one in their right mind would consider having only one arm or only one leg as the ideal situation ?? Given the choice , we'd stick to having both.
Children growing up with single parent can still manage to have happy childhood , but that does not make that an ideal situation to bring up a child.

I honestly, don't understand the hate for Mauli right now, Ishaan only came into her life like three years ago, before that she raised Mishti on her own. She's used to doing things on her own. She only went to Kunal because she thought he had misthy with him. Also, Mauli didn't inform dida or Radika about it nor did she asked them if Mishti had somehow reached home. My point is, Mauli wasn't in her senses she only wanted to find her daughter and when Kunal offered help, she accepted it.
As far as Custody case is concerned then, Kunal sounded sensible in the hospital and on the phone, he reminded her twice that Misthi is her daughter so I understand her trusting his words and frankly speaking, Misthi is Mauli's daughter and if she doesn't want Ishaan to adopt her legally then no one can object.

If she's so independent , why she herself think that she's not enough for Mishti 😆??? Why are people even arguing whether single parent is enough for a child or not , when Mauli herself thinks other wise ?? 😆 A mother would know best after all. 😃
Remember Mauli's words - " Mein keu ruki huyi hu ?? ( There goes the whole a woman can be happy alone theory out of the window when the woman herself think her life is ruki huyi without a man ! 😆 ) Mein keu apne bachhi ko akele pal rahi hu ?? Use maa baap dono ka pyar keu nehi de rahi hu ?? " ( thereby reinforcing that she herself think Mishti needs and deserves love and care and growing up with both parents , not just with mom.

Ishaan went to the custody office only after Mauli told her how anxious and restless she is , how afraid that Kunal might take away Mishti from him . He went to secure , not his own rights but Mauli's rights whereas Mauli didn't even tell him about Kunal's phone call and reassurance . So how'd he know it's not required any more ??

Ishaan is fulfilling his responsibilities. He's engaged to Mauli , and he's an important part of Mishtys life. And the engagement has been done so there's a commitment of msuli, Ishaan and mishty being a family. Mauli told him she was scared anout Kunal knowing about mishty ..so being the good person thst he is who fulfills his responsibilities..he contacted the lawyer to secure mishtys future with him and msuli. Here's the contrast ..Kunal did not show any initiative to fulfill his responsibilities when msuli was pregnant ..to become a caring supportive husband ...whereas Ishaan is different ..he upholds his responsibilities to Mauli 😊

Agreed!!

Mauli does not love Ishaan, she is marrying him because he will be a good father to Mishti, engagement doesn't mean that Mauli has given every part of herself to Ishaan, I mean she has an identity beyond Ishaan, why people want her to be limited by men around her? It's either Ishaan or Kunal..
She said that she is mother and father to Mishti and she is completely capable of taking care of Mishti, if she was in love with Ishaan or if she falls for him in future, it will be a different case, I don't want her to live a life where people expect her to show constant gratitude towards her partner, people are expecting Mauli to act like Nandini but Mauli is not like that, she is independent... Independent means she CAN speak with a lawyer about HER daughter's legal standing.

Kunal has right to fight custody
Ishaan has right to ask for custody
But the woman who gave birth to Mishti has no right on her custody whatsoever she needs Ishaan's permission because apparently uske ehsano tale dabi hui hai.

This life is not independent or free, this is stifling and killing essence of Mauli, she can take care of Mishti, she did it for 3 years, she juggled her work with Mishti's care, Ishaan didn't pay her bills.. Like what even
