In the olden days there was Zeenat/Parveen/Rekha 70's-80's

90's ofcourse had Madhuri...few others too

2000's Priyanka, Bipasha, Katrina (item numbers)

Some others too.

After 2010?...We only have "girl next door" like Alia, Shraddha, etc

Why this deficit?

I think Disha is trying very hard for the sex symbol tag. All those bikini, sports bra clad pics that she post on instagram give me the vibe of someone who wants to be known as a sex symbol. Not to mention she is a terrible actress and her looks sex appeal is the only thing she has got that she could bank on. She knows her strenght and plugging it relentlessly.

Sometime back Esha Gupta tried hard to become the sex symbol by posting semi nude pics on instagram but she never was widely appreciated for her boldness and sex appeal. So never became known as a sex symbol.

I think time of sex symbol is gone.
Insta has 1000000s of sexy girls who are showing stuff for free.

And Disha got popular for her cuteness, she has taken a wrong road now and people are turning against her.

Although she is strictly an item dancer, and not actress like Disha.

I love Nora, but i wouldnt call her a sex symbol ( I know you didnt in your post)...Shes techncially a great dancer...but I dont think she has the oomph factor of a Helen or Malaika even.

We defiantly have a huge pothole for "sexy"...every single actresss we have right now is "the girl next door"...Alia, Shraddha, Pari, Janhvi, Sara, Tara, Ananya etc etc

I dont see Disha clicking either. Maybe Manushi if she joins film but shes more "cute too"

I dont think the "times of sex symbols are gone" we just dont have anyone to fit the bil.

Wow. A good question. I can't pinpoint a single woman as the sex symbol from the current lot. The trend kinda waned after Bipasha. Men though I feel Vicky has it in him to be one IF he plays his cards right. 😆

I personally find all the current men hot in their own way.. ALL OF THEM - Ranbir, Ranveer, Varun, Sid, Tiger, Arjun...Aditya...THEY ALL have it in them.

Probably the best era for men (where looks are concerned). I've literally fantasized about each and every one of them

Oh.😆 Nobody really stands out to me from the men. A sex symbol should be one everyone considers attractive and none of the current lot fit the bill. Its all about preferences now. We don't have a Milind Soman of this generation. I think Hrithik came close during Dhoom and there was John too for Dostana but nothing sustained.
