Epic failure of ToH has left entire BTown shaking.

Dharma currently has 3 period dramas cum big budgets Kalank, Brahmastra and Takht.

Karan pushed Brahmastra to Christmas, IDK why?

Is he not confident about the film? Ranbir and Alia are not too huge stars to give away biggest date of the year.

Alia has great pull but Ranbir? I doubt.

Aamir couldn't pull a Diwali release to 200 cr. Lol at Takht cast,

Is KJo entirely cashing in Bebo?

Only KKK can pull the role flamboyantly among entire ensemble cast.

Takht needs a recast. Period.

The only one who needs to be recast is that Kareena. She will ham like crazy with her overacting. 🤢

They need to get rid of all the girls IMO.

Kareena - Alia dont suit the part, Not sure about Janhvi and Bhumi doesnt have star power.

I would've loved to see Shraddha -Sara in the film - both have that regal look going for them and audiences seems to like them too.

They need big names. Ranveer is repeating his SLB creation everywhere, landed him a role in takht. Vicky , Kareena had great role on paper.

What KJo does with it still a big wuesques.

With sara, she has great face. Shraddha is too sweet , girl next door for film like Takht.

Big names? The entire cast has had some very big flops 😆 with the exception of Alia/Bhumi but thats because of the films they star in.

No real star power exists in Takht

Agreed. Script and " great gowns, beautiful gowns" are selling point at the moment.

Period dramas need Sanjay. Nobody does it like him. The audience is used to it so anything less than Sanjay's style may not find viewers. Also not every director is capable of directing a period drama. There's a distinct atmosphere required to get it right. Don't think anyone else in the current lot has it. SLB has tons of flaws but he gets the feel right. Ashutosh did it too with Jodha-Akbar too. So Takht needs a good director before anything else.

Agreed on each point made. Karan can definitely gert the asthetics right, and it's smart of him to hire writers to script for him.

About his direction everything is so doubtful.
