I became a fan of Pak dramas after watching Khuda Aur Mohabbat . I am a muslim woman from Arab country, but sadly we don't have religious leads. In Pak dramas we watch leads go to masjid, perform namaz, it is very pleasing.

There are many lead females with high princibles, it is not just about religion, but also about respecting family and society's norms. for this I recommend Dil Teri Naam . try this one.

Also Awida, thanks for the recommendation, however Noor Hassan Rizvi is not really my cup of tea lol.

You got more recommendations lol?

I've watched and enjoyed:

Shanakth
Aik Pal
Khatputli
meri zaat zarra e benishan
Khuda aur mohabbat\
Mein abdul kadir hoon
Roag

Very interesting to see that Pakistani dramas have an arab following; It's as surpising as knowing that Bollywood films used to have a large Russian following.

I love Noor . I became his fan after watching Bekhudi , where after raping his cousin and marrying her, our hero repented and became religious! 😃

I am a big fan of romcoms, so they don't really fit here.😳

I watched Shanakht. it has Noor Hassan too😉. Aik Pal I started it , but got busy , and left it. Kathputli was beautiful, I couldn't complete MZZB, and Roag. I can't watch depressing dramas. 😳

Indian movies have large Arabian following too. 😃

Mzzbn had universal appeal of faith. If no one believed me when needed then only one I am answerable to is higher power. Absolutely loved that show and also message it gave.

Amaanat wS more of personal limitation and beliefs. What is person feels is good and acceptable for individual. It was decent but one point of cousin they made was unfair. Being free spirited and able to speak your mind does not qualify individual bad person.

Saya e deewar was good till they made a point that woman committed sin by marrying outside of religion. In the circumstances of the show not much was left for her. ( her husband was beating her to point of death , cheating on her no mention of sin there) yes, marriage did not work out after but so that was something of a bad to worst luck for her, not a sin ... I draw a line where woman is a sinner trying to save herself but men not helping her and pushing her to take that step is still judging her till last breath. That drama was a bust towards the end. Totally woman basher show.

Totally agree about MZZBN and Amaanat...Haven't watched the other one so cannot say anything about it! MZZBN is such a beautiful show that it strengthen's one's faith just by watching it...One of those rare shows...And people call it a tragedy, but I personally don't find anything tragic about it...Everybody who wronged the girl met their fate and the girl lead a satisfying life of seeking out and finding her destiny which is what every single human being is supposed to be doing rarely is able to achieve in one lifetime!
