That a month has elapsed and so has Karva Chaitali boggles me, but still the thought of this festival brings me to remember the story of KC. It is quite similar to our Silsila if you pay attention. So there was a queen Veero. Long story short, Due tue a curse the king forgets her and makes their servant his queen. For the whole year the king assumes the Dasi is the queen and the dasi behaves like her too, while the queen suffers as a dasi. The queen keeps singing all day Rani Holi Ho Gai ... Goli Rani Ho Gai... until the curse comes off and the king remembers everything rightfully. All in all our Kunal babu is treating Mauli like some ankh ka Kankar... eager to throw her out. No empathy no understanding of her pain nothing. So is Nandini. She is enjoying this new found love without an ounce of understanding of what her friend must be going through has she thought what if Rajdeep had an affair with Mauli?

As a neutral viewer Silsila is an opportunity lost... they could have done so much better with this theme... sigh...
