Zara knew this was it, the FINALS, she had to pass this and she would be home free, when she decided to pursue her future goals of a happily married life at the Ahmed house, she had expected a few simple tests like cooking and cleaning, which Salma had done a good job of teaching, but she had not bargained for Calculus and Trigonometry, all these equations were getting tougher by the day, how she wished she had taken some extra coaching from Peer Sahab and Sharia board before signing up for this intensive course of marriage! Ahmed house was nothing less than IIT- Mumbai, the courses and tests only got tougher as the days went by, besides most of the teachers only breezed through the course material, like Amma, the algebra teacher, only briefly explained her equation with Abba and Alina, Amma And abba were like two intersecting lines, they did meet at a point where Kabeer and Alina came into existence but after that the lines never met, then there was Ruksaar who was majoring in Biology, all she cared about was the human anatomy- and that too only one particular human's anatomy, she was a doctor in the making, she had all the potions and solutions easily available to meet everyone's requirement, then there was Zeenat, majoring in child and human psychology, she is still trying to figure out Kashaan, Amaan and Ruksaar, Reena and Imraan are visiting students, trying to learn whatever they can from this mad house and last but not the least - kabeer, still undecided on what he wants to study, he may end up just being a drop out as every test he has taken so far indicates that his IQ is less than that of a kindergartener.
So Zara had a tough choice to make, major in psychiatry or political science, after due diligence she settled for political science as she realized that surviving in this tough environment would be the real challenge, and so she put her heart into it as no one had told her that there would be a test every month, and so it all began-
1) the cooking challenge- Zara passed Ayesha's Kheer making challenge with flying colors, although it was not he kheer that helped her pass, but it was more of Kabeers common sense test, which for one awakened at the right moment and helped Zara.
2) computer science test- This was not Zara's cup of tea and she did miserably enabling Ruksaar to go up in the Ahmed school rankings. She couldn't even turn on the computer, leave alone setting up a fake account and chatting. And although she could not understand how Siraaj came into her life when all she wanted to do was test Kabeers physical abilities, as she was sure mentally he was quite unsound, she still passed because of Ruksaars over confidence.
3) The next subject test was Chemistry, enter Miraaj to the Ahmed institute along with nilofer, the only bonding Zara was interested was not happening as there was not enough ions of love and lust to form a bond between Zara and kabeer, and every time it looked like the chemicals were reacting correctly, a new chemical was being added by Miraaj messing up the bonding process, eventually Zara figured out the reactants and scrapped the entire experiment, starting over with new chemicals, another exam passed.
4) All the testing was taking its toll on Zara and she started to falter and this is when Ruksaar the biology major saw her chance and decided to dissect the now completely useless cadaver called Kabeer, little did Ruksaar know Zara was not the one to rest on her laurels and she soon caught up with Ruksaars manipulations with the test paper and got her caught for cheating.
5) Zara was quite exhausted and could not wait to graduate out of this institution as soon as possible, the finals were nearing and she was no where near prepared as she had no clue what the examiners were going to test her on, it was crystal clear to Zara that no matter how well she performed the examiners were hell bent on declaring Ruksaar the winner and placing her first, but little did the examiner know that Zara had the support and backing of not only the entire Ahmed institution but all the people who had turned into mental patients after following this ridiculous show!
So as Zara prepares for her finals, I think I'm going to find myself a vocation too other than hoping that one day Kabeer will grow up and end this show with Zara, until then Khuda Hafeez!!
