I agree that we should not look for history in this series. But what is grating is that this series also lacks basic logic and common sense. Forgetting about Akbar or Mughal era, this series should have at least remembered that this story is associated with royal family.

I loved watching the movie Jodha Akbar which is a historical fiction. There was very little truth in what they showed, but what they did show was done with elegance and grace. I could enjoy the show because I could relate to the characters. Hrithik did act like a king and Aishwarya acted like a princess who became a queen. I feel same way about Bahubali too which is a completely fictional story. There too the crown prince revolts against his mom for the girl he loved. Yet that royal etiquette is followed. That basic courtesy and behavior of the royals was remembered.

I am not looking for history, but a story which has some semblance to reality in terms of what we understand about royalty. Simple things like a queen not begging a servant girl to talk to her son who is the crown prince. Or a mother saying she cannot tell her son that he should not misbehave with his father. All of royal family addressing a servant with respect saying "aap. A prince that too a warrior prince will not pine that way for a servant girl. And the list goes on. All I am looking for is some logic and common sense. All I want is for the actors to be able to act the part meaning Slaim to act like a prince, Akbar like a king, Jodha like a queen, Anarkali like a servant girl etc.

In yesterday's episode , I liked Jillan and Anarkali's conversation.How Jillan being a mother was concerned about her daughter whereas Anar was only thinking bout Salim.

If this much creative liberty they want, the makers should not have opted for such a famous ,immortal classical love story that remained intact even after so many years.

Kirtija with due respect to your post I would like to request you to understand why some of us are complaining

. A die hard Shaheer fan like me started hating the charecterisation of Salim..with no pretences. Why! Not for fun sake. It is not a daily soap for me. It is Shaheer's show.

That is why I bother. I am not a fan of Ekta Kapur but today I am feeling her Jodha Akbar is far better while the movie Shaavi mentioned is even more engrossing.

Don't think Salim Anarkali are some hero heroine of a novel or serial. They have history attached to their names.

.The way Salim s charecter is shown will definitely hurt those who read Mughal history. I read it thoroughly..I feel bad. Salim never insults his father the way they showed..it is horrible..And Anarkali washing clothes? Is this a Saas Bahu saga?

And Rani Jodha coming and requesting Anarkali! My god..That is the limit.
